I am using an ASUS-board A8N32-SLI-Deluxe with an AMD processor
and Win XPpro multi language as OS.
Since today the SP3 also run on this board after some big problems.
There were blue screens and so on, but the hint to use an USB stick
at booting was the fist step to resolve the problem. Then I test
how the computer boot without the USB-stick. For this I found the hint
to disable the LPT port. Now the computer booted without the USB-stick,
but I need the LTP port for the printer. So I changed in the Bios the
address from 378 to 278 and enabled LPT.
Hurra, now it all run!
The help of MS was a small prog, that block the download of SP3 and
at Asus I found no help at the supportside.
Thanks to the community!
