Just relating my trouble with on board audio of an MSI board. This
mother board is a late model, for a dual core processor. Although it had
plenty of speaker sound output, it was hopeless for microphone use. I had
to shout into the mic, to be heard on Echolink or Skype.
I tried all the usual things that I one has to do, with sliders
right up and boost on etc. and have been using those modes for years on
older computers.
I did find on the Internet a host of such complaints, so in desperation,
I put in an old Sound Blaster sound card and now have loads of audio.
I wonder if anyone else has had this MSI problem?
