Hi I wonder if any have trialed the replacement for Microsoft Vista,
current named MS 7, of which I downloaded the near final version beta?
Although it is much lighter on memory and is running well on a Celeron
2.8 with only 512m of ram, I am finding it far from being user friendly?
Whereas XP Pro is very easy to reach the various sub programs within its
structure and then if necessary drop an icon on the desktop. With 7 this
is mostly not the case. Control panel is a shambles with headings only.
In the program there are many headers with dropped down hard to read, sub
programs, most of which, an icon cannot be derived. So instead of just
being able to start a program directly from an icon or from the program
display. I am frustrated by the lost time trying to remember where one
found such items as Defrag, Restore Point Backup etc etc
No wonder most preferred XP to Vista and this attempt to launch a better
replacement, is in my opinion going nowhere in that direction. For me it
really does nothing more significant than good old faithful XP.
I believe in home and industry, the take up of Vista was poor and MS
made a decision to fix this, with a new operating system, earlier than
usual?
