Hello Warren, and NO ...no TV Production from me, I'd have to be paid
for it, and well someone was kind enough to send me pictures of the
Golden Hinde, also a website, and a correction, that the Queen
was not the only sponsor of the voyages of Francis Drake, as
when he renamed the Pelican, as I follow the email, it was named
for this sponsor and taken from the coat of arms.

From the pictures ... gee one can appreciate the conditions.

No TV show .... BBC did a series on him.

I was thinking of that, and then he was dropped off a league
from shore , and of course the description and then these two
ships sunk there < No idea if they were weighted or not..lead or
otherwise >. Fort Knox of the day, but then they have found
other wrecks. I would love a trip there.

Being a replica sailor, and all...I got a hands on experience
of using pitch and rope fibre to seal a hull. I also was very
interested in restoration of the USS Consitution and what they
were going to do with the bottom, as all the sheathing there
was dissolved, and well our famed worms were doing their best.
They did a lot of bottom work, before slapping a new copper
bottom on the old girl.

The new concrete for the bridge reminds me of old Cleo in Egypt
as she cruised the nile on stone boats. Ferrol cement boats
have been made and funny how unaccepted they are....but no worms.

Agreed ... I think that is why the Admiralty is not going after
the recovery, even if it has permission to do so. Like the
Titanic ...I am in no hurry...but it would be nice to locate.

Agreed. Nothing like the CSS Hunley... the Monitor's big
enemy is saltwater and time, and then it will be gone.
They just could not get it up ...YET. Never know, as sooner
or later they might have the technology, and then it is
to a restoration for a few years like the "Mary Rose" which
no one thought they would recover too....until the technology
and an idea came along.

Aaah come on give me a chance? Is it because of the shape
of the harbour? Gee ..I have used Portobello mushrooms for
my homemade Pizza.

I don't know ...it was news to me too!
