Hi Pete and all,
You lost me with some of that, I pay so little attention to nonsense I
simply don't remember. I took advice given years ago, never try to make
sense out of nonsense.
I see dimly through fog a bunch of recent strange ones, instead of the
usual format they had multiple headers all different and an insignificant
text body, plus callsigns totally unfamiliar. As for addressing, all at
WW so they ended up here, if the H system is working you should never see
anything addressed to a callsign except in the bulls list of the
addressee's BBS.
I'm not sure what you mean about "outlook internet for EMERGENCY" because
I never saw such a thing here or on a NEBBS BBS when it was a viable
network and I still had a radio link. Emergency rings a bell, years back
I witnessed a NEBBS subnet come into existance, an Amateur packet network
connected to the Office of Emergency Management. It was open while under
construction which is how I became aware of it but closed when completed
having no visible connection yet piggybacked on the network, sort of an
Amateur exclusive hinternet.
Old bulls you usually trace back but if you're referring to the all
headers and little text ones I at least couldn't make heads nor tails of
them. Here's a stretch just for fun, not long ago (I think it was Ian?)
who after all these years tested the DNA, found SPY innocent and released
him from prison. Then along came his old bulls about SPY being a source
of virus, now that reminded me of that guy in the Guy Fawkes mask in V
For Vengeance.
Oh, some years back I noticed the FCC issuing callsigns you'd never see
way back when like the first I worked on Field Day under the club call
???CUM... N0SEX. The big laugh we had on the air had to do with her being
a YL. (Oh dear. <groan>) They only get worse especially in countries like
Australia and South Africa where they can pick their own calls within the
license class.
E-mail spam, spam ascii? I keep a can of troll spray around for the
message boards but NEVER NEVER NEVER reply to spam because once a spammer
or telephone solicitor detects a live one you get buried in just what
you're trying to avoid. I sit here at the computer listening to my
telephone answering machine going all day as I ignore the constant stream
of Alpha Hotels.
"The AUSSIES ??? What did they do now? <g>..."
Yeah, we both know they're doing a good job. Here's a pat on the back and
a sincere attaboy.
