Hi Ian and all,

Thanks for the clarification, I learned a few things amid the chuckles as
I was reminded of my twisted bull. Speaking of which, I suppose that
rhubarb wasn't the only thing that gave the apple pie a different flavor.
You see, it's one thing when mommy makes it and quite another when mummy
relies on an ancient Egyptian recipe and bakes it in a clay pyramid fired
with camel dung. Same thing with that Belgian "Mexican" food, it loses
flavor coming across the pond. Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on
the bed post overnight? It takes longer even when shipped air freight. We
have Taco Bell that surely confuses the Mexicans, there are no tacos in
Mexico. Somebody tell los nos cerebros at Yum! Brands Inc. it's a
tortilla? Yo quiero Taco Bell? No senor, Toxic Hell, make a run for the
bathroom.

"My lunch was cod and CHIPS fried in oil, as I'm sure you realised."
Yeah, but ships are funnier.

Hmmm, there's a reason why dad's "salted" pig in the basement didn't
taste salty, I don't remember exactly from my feckless youth making
gunpowder but I'll bet the pork had a rather salt like taste but weird.
Saltpetre is sodium nitrate, salt is sodium chloride so they taste rather
different.

That's an interesting analogy, crossing the border into New York having a
different language and currency not accepted is quite familiar. They DO
speek a different language and with all the dialects they have trouble
understanding each other. For example, my landlord is from Manhattan and
another tennant is from Brooklyn, they need a translator. Oh, when on
those rare occasions I go to "the city" the moment they hear my Jersey
accent they give me the evil eye because they know I can't and won't even
if I could pay rediculous prices for those well known New York portions.
"No soup for you!" Now Google the soup Nazi for further explanation.
