Hi Ian and all,
Oh I know you don't really care, live with them or live without them,
either way the British Isles are in no danger of tipping over. I know you
treat everybody the same but the Scots hide their feelings in comedy,
Billy Connolly knows the truth hides in plain sight. Even what you quoted
rather agrees with my dissertation on Hadrian's Wall and the haggis
launchers, you'll need a passport for your version of Check Point Charlie.
Yeah, it's complicated and I've seen the bilingual signs but I'm used to
Welsh names from navigating around the suburbs of Philadelphia in places
like Gwynedd, Bryn Mawr and Bala Cynwyd.
Eh, they have the same chances of making Gaelic the official language as
we do with English, few to none. Not that it matters, nothing would
change if they did but it's a shame the language is being lost because
there is little interest in learning it, then it's the same in the US.
Sorry, I'd never see a Eurofighter over NY carrying a 100 megaton
payload. The Russians had that hair brained notion until they listened to
their scientists and scaled the Tsar Bomba back to 50 megatons. Even
though it was detonated at high altitude in a remote area colateral
damage was amazing and quite unexpected. It's interesting reading on the
internet.
Now if you're thinking about bombing Scotland think again. They've made
some progress over the centuries you'd better believe it... beware the
atomic haggis.
"It is quite a complicated subject..."
Surely I'm not helping any tangling serious with sarcasm and twisted
humor. (;->)
