Greetings all
it would apear that one of our fellow hams has successfully
managed to get FBB working on a Rasberry PI.
A lot more testing will need to be done but for those more
familiar with fbb than other bbs software will mean that
a lot of very cheap BBS can be installed in remote locations
for things like severe weather events and bush fires.
Here is a copy and paste with the latest news.

Kerry

Looks like my compile of the FBB source was good
as I have been able to start FBB on the Pi and
actually connect to it from both Telnet and another
Packet Node over RF.

Still some issues on my RasperryPI node like getting
Netrom to work, but slowly nibbling away at it.
The netrom issue is the Pesudo tty ports which are not
part of the Raspian Kernel build.

Oh FYI I also compiled all the AX25 utilities that are
required and that went pretty well too.

Bob

I will get bob to post a message to the packet community when
the appropriate testing has been done as it is early days yet.
