Hello Per.
I have a little netbook PC without a COM port so I had to purchase a
USB to Serial cable adapter. They are not expensive. Once the
software that came with the cable was installed all worked as it
should and I had my COM port.
On my netbook I have 2 x USB sockets and I always had to use the same
socket every time to use the USB to Serial cable adapter. Just
something to bear in mind. Hope that helps?
