CQ 2010 HALL OF FAMERS ---> CQ Magazine announced on 20 May its 2010 Hall
of Fame inductees. The CQ Amateur Radio Hall of Fame was established in
January 2001 to recognize individuals - radio amateurs or not - who
significantly affected the course of Amateur Radio, as well as radio
amateurs who have made significant contributions either to amateur radio,
to their professional careers or to some other aspect of life on our
planet. This year's inductees are: Nate Brightman (K6OSC), Robert Schmieder
(KK6EK), E. King Stodola (W2AXO, SK), Bob Gunderson (W2JIO, SK), Dave Bell
(W6AQ), Cardinal Roger Mahony, Archbishop Emeritus of Los Angeles (W6QYI),
Ron Moorefield (W8ILC), Loretta Ensor (W9UA, SK), Malcolm Raff (WA2UNP,
SK), Allen Taflove (WA9JLV), Sylvia Margolis (SK) and Ted McElroy (SK).
The CQ Contest Hall of Fame (established in 1986) and the CQ DX Hall of
Fame (established in 1967) honour those amateurs who not only excel in
personal performance in these major areas of amateur radio, but who also
"give back" to the hobby in outstanding ways. This year's inductee to the
CQ Contest HoF is John Sluymer (VE3EJ). The 2011 inductee to the CQ DX HoF
is Michael J. McGirr (K9AJ).

world and radio amateurs in Europe using the BPSK31 mode. Rules can be
found at www.eupsk.com
IOTA: RULE CHANGES ---> With the publication this month of the new IOTA
Directory a number of rule changes have come into force including the
raising of the minimum QSO threshold from 200 to 1000 QSOs for first-time
activated new IOTA groups and amendment of the handling of islands
previously deleted following a deletion of a DXCC entity, allowing
acceptance of old Penguin Islands and Red Sea Islands QSOs for AF-070 and
AS-009 respectively. A note of the main changes has been uploaded to
G3KMA's website (www.g3kma.dsl.pipex.com).
QSL P40L ---> "Now that P40L is active again, I am getting QSL requests and
emails for/about both old and fairly new QSOs", Erik K5WW says. Please note

current QSL route is via WA3FRP.

Championship will be held in New England (www.wrtc2014.org).
+ SILENT KEY + George Ripley (GD3AHV) passed away on 11 May at 90 years of
