to bring the interface cables necessary to run RTTY. They arrived just in
time for the BARTG, but I did not get much operation time prior, so I have
decided to extend my operation here on St. Pierre and Miquelon until

OC-171. Craig, VK4LDX/VK8PDX, will be doing his last visit to Magnetic
Island between April 17-20th, operating as VK4LDX/P. He'll
arrive in the afternoon and hopes to be on air around 0800z
using a Spiderbeam tribander on a 10m Spiderbeam mast, along
with a vertical and 40m dipole. This location is on a small
cliff and has a good water take off to North America on the
long and short paths, and Europe on the long path. There is
a hill blocking the short path to Europe and JA, but these are
the most reliable paths. The Spiderbeam still should be heard
on Asia and Europe short path. Craig will do updates during
the DXpedition on his Blog page at:
                          http://vk4ldxoc171.blogspot.com
He intends to operate from 2100-0200z and 0600-1600z each day.

  SA-095. Operators Cezar/VE3LYC and Dino/CE3PG have embarked on a

second half of November. The operation will take place under
the auspices of the Radio Club de Chile. Given the difficulties
associated with operating from Pupuya Islands, various con-
tingencies will be considered, including radio equipment,
power, transportation, landing, and camping. A Web site will
be designed in due course where updates will be posted.

JW, SVALBARD. Frank, LA1RSA, will be active as JW1RSA from the JW5E club
station in Longyearbyen on Spitsbergen Island (EU-026) between April
9=9615th. QSL JW1RSA via LA1RSA.
