8Q - Nao, JK1FNL will be active as 8Q7FF from the Maldives (AS-013) on
4-9 January. He plans to operate CW, SSB and RTTY on 40-6 metres.

G - Special callsign GB65ISWL will be active from several locations in
the UK throughout 2011 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the
International Short Wave League (www.iswl.org.uk). QSL via G6XOU.

H4 - Shane, VK4KHZ will be active as H44DA from Honiara (OC-047),
Solomon Islands on 6-16 January. He plans to be QRV on 6 metres on
a daily basis, subject to favourable conditions, but he will also

LU_ssh - Diego, LU8DIP will be active from LU1ZS, the club station located
at the "Teniente Camara" base of Argentina (South Shetland
Islands, AN-010), until mid-March. He operates in his spare time
around 14185 kHz and 7070 kHz. "He does know CW", The Daily DX
reports, "however at this time it is unknown if he will be active
on that mode".
P4 - Marty, W2CG will be active again as P40CG from Aruba (SA-036) on
10-24 January. Operating time will be limited mostly to his
morning and early evening hours; expect him to be QRV on 80-10
metres CW, with some SSB "on request". QSL via home call, and

PY - Special event station PS150PLM will be active on 1-30 January to
celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Brazilian
scientist, inventor and radio pioneer Father Roberto Landell de
Moura. Expect activity on 10, 15, 20 and 40 metres mainly SSB. QSL
via PS7AB (all of the QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the

W - Wade, AA8LL and Roger, K0RMK will be active as AA8LL/4 and K0RMK/4
from Key Largo (NA-062) on 10-17 January. They will operate
holiday style on 40-12 metres SSB (24950, 21260, 18128, 14260 and
7155 kHz), CW (28040, 24910, 21040, 18098, 14040, 10114 and 7030
kHz) and RTTY (24925, 21079, 18102, 14079, 10139 and 7039 kHz)
with 200 watts and wires. QSL via home calls, direct or bureau.

ZF - Pete, K8PGJ will be active as ZF2PG from the Cayman Islands
(NA-016) on 2-9 January. He will operate holiday style on 40, 20
and 15 metres. QSL via home call.
ZL - Members of the Papakura Radio Club will be active as ZL50VK
between 1 January and 31 March to celebrate 50th anniversary of
the club. QSL via ZL1VK, direct or bureau. Expect logs to be
uploaded to LoTW and Club Log after 3 March.

away on 30 December at 80 years of age. "He had been ill for some time",
Mike, W5ZPA says, "and over the weekend he suffered a massive stroke and a
heart attack". An accomplished all-mode DXer, he was well known in the IOTA
circles for his activities from several IOTA groups in the US and
elsewhere, notably the rare Mangaia Island, South Cooks (ZK1AGL).

"Jeannot" Ameriguian (K8CD), Paul N. Beane (NW8C), Aleksandr Y. Savenkov
