on December 31, 2009. Starting January 1, 2010 normal submission fees
will apply. If you are planning to submit an update for this operation
I strongly recommend that you do not wait for the last minute as mail
around the holiday season is very heavy and delays can occur. All DXCC
needs is the card and SASE, or, in LoTW do an application with just
7O1YGF and remember to select payment by mail on Part four and leave
the paper QSO number at zero on Part two."

solar flares, radio blackouts, and geomagnetic field activity. To
understand these disturbances, join K9LA as he explains them and provides
real world examples tied to our amateur radio operations. The event is

QSL INFO AND NEWS.....................
Algarve STAR DX Team announced that the 4W6AL QSL cards have arrived
from LZ3HI (printer). Direct requests will be answered very soon. All
4W6AL information can be found on: http://algarvedx.com
7X0DX & 9M8DX QSL INFO UPDATE. Tom, SP5UAF, reports: "At the begining
of November 1st, received 7X0DX and 9M8DX directs unanswered by late
DL4DBR. As perhaps you remember Ted, DL4DBR, passed away at the begining
of 2009 and during last months of his life he was not able to deal with
QSL cards (basicaly callsigns 7X0DX and 9M8DX managed by him). Ted's
wife, Renia, DL3DBR, was for some time too affected by the loss to
prepare the package of unanswered QSLs. She tried many times but always
started to cry. She sent me the package of unanswered direct QSLs at
the beginning of November. Now all of them are answered and sent to
recipients. However, there is a problem with cards sent via DL4DBR via
the bureau. Ted, DL4DBR, had computer records but unfortunately all
data was lost. So if anyone is still waiting for a bureau card, please
re-send your card via the bureau via SP5UAF or send an e-mail request
to my e-mail tom.sp5uaf@gmail.com or sp5uaf@sp5zcc.net ."
TF4X QSL ROUTE. Phil, G3SWH, informs OPDX that he has been appointed
the QSL Manager for TF4X. There is already a log search facility on
his Web site and any direct QSL requests already sent to TF4X will be
forwarded to him.
NOT THE QSL MANAGER FOR V51AS. Steve, WB6RSE, reports that he has
received another request for V51AS. Steve states, "I am NOT and
never have been the QSL Manager for Frank, V51AS. He told me in
2003 that his mail is routinely pilfered. Frank's QRZ.com page now
shows an address in Germany: Frank Steinhauser, Am Rosenkothen 17,
40880 Ratingen, Germany."
Acim, YT3W, informs OPDX that logs for both YT1AD and YU1DW Pacific
tour are on online at: http://www.YT1AD.info/t31
The logs include: 3D2AD, 3D2DW, 5W7A, 5W0DW, KH8/N9YU, T30AW and T30M.
