Thanks to the Northern Ohio Amateur Radio Society, Northern Ohio DX
Association, Ohio/Penn PacketCluster Network, AB5K & the AR TelNet
Clusters Network, Armic/EA3RKR, Ron/K5XK, and Maurice/F5NQL for the
following DX information.

*** EDITOR'S NOTE. Three major developments/announcements have been
announced which we felt should be sent out before the usual bulletin
     that comes out on Sunday.

3B7, ST. BRANDON. QSL Manager Ron, K5XK, reports to OPDX that Rachid,
3B8FQ, has received approval and will activate St. Brandon Island as
3B7FQ again in August. Rachid believes this may be the last trip to
St. Brandon for the next five years. As in his previous travels to 3B6FQ
and 3B7FQ, this will be a working trip with time shared for maintenance
on the island's meteorological equipment. Travel to 3B7 will be by boat,
departing Mauritius on August 10th, and returning from St. Brandon on
August 30th. Operation will be CW/SSB on 40-10 meters. Another trip to
Agalega Island as 3B6FQ is possible in November of this year. QSL 3B7FQ
and Rachid's other callsigns via K5XK, per info on QRZ.com.

C2, NAURU (Update). Armic, EA3RKR, provides an update for the upcoming
C21TI DXpedition to Nauru. As mentioned in Sunday's bulletin the operation
will take place between August 17-23rd. In the new press release the Team
Leader of the group Dani/EA4ATI, states dates are now permanent after
several postponements. Dani plans to travel back to Spain to finalize
preparations and different shipments of equipment for the DXpedition. All
was possible thanks to the sponsorship and assistance from: Danish DX Group,
Radio Club Valdemoro, European DX Foundation, German DX Foundation, ACR El
Madrono, Southeastern DX Club, Swiss DX Foundation, Southwest Ohio DX
Association, Section Local URE Valdemoro, Union Radio EA7URS of Seville,
and Armic/EA3RKR. There was also individual contributions by (as of to
date): EA5AVW, EA3KN, EC3AJW, IK8CNT, ON4IQ, SM7FJE, EA3RKR and EA4YK.
Look for activity by C21TI to be on all HF bands from 160-10 meters +
6 meters. Station will have power and a 7 element yagi. The suggested
frequencies are:
   CW - 1825.2, 3505, 7005, 10110, 14025, 18075, 21025, 24895 and 28025
   SSB - 1825.2, 3799, 7065, 14195, 18145, 21295, 24945 and 28495 kHz
   6m - 50.115 MHz

Armic, EA3RKR, states in the press relase that they apologize for the
delay and thank all for waiting. They hope to work you in August. The
team is still looking for donations/funds and your contribution can made
via Paypal. QSL via EA4ATI. All the details and QSL information is
available at QRZ.com at: http://www.qrz.com/callsign?callsign=C21TI

FR/G, GLORIOSOS. In a press release, the Gloriosos 2009 DXpedition has
once again been postponed "because of flight problems". They "think",
however, that the DXpedition could begin at the end of August. The
release states, "The runway on Grande Glorieuse suffers heavy problems
of stability which have to be solved very quickly, in next July, to allow
again the jumbo planes landing with full security. This postponing will
allow us to include new operators, David, F8CRS, and Bernard, F5LPY."
The press release states that there will be seven operators that will
now go to FT5G. They will have three stations which will be active 24
hours a day and the 3rd dedicated to monitor the 6 meter. This last
station will be used back on HF if propagation opens the lower bands.
The length of the stay is always scheduled for three weeks if no other
change will happen. They also added, "We must once again remind all of
you that the landing on these islands is very difficult and the Go signal
is given only when all the security measures are in place, known and
applied. We have to thank many for their help: the French Australes and
Antarctic Territories Administration, The South Indian Ocean Zone Forces
Headquarter, and the Commandment of the French Foreign Legion detachment
in Mayotte. More news is to be published in due time... Gloriosos 2009 crew"
There was one last official comment by Didier, F5OGL, team leader (edited):
"A part we can say, even if the first event which made the July 2009
Gloriosos postponed hadn't happen; today's aircrash of the Yemenia
A310 at sea after 2 hours of flight is a new event which might have made
the DXpedition postponed in any case. The plane which would have been used
to go from La Reunion to Glorieuses is now on the zone and will participate
in the search of survivors for an unknown length of time... These
events and to reinforce the runway have been considered by the French
Authorities. For the most security, please wait again with us for a few
weeks."
