Official Release PT1A SA-079 RIO DX GROUP / LABRE RJ
Ilha Rasa - PT1R - IOTA SA-079 - GG86KW
The Rio DX Group, in partnership with the Labre-RIO DE JANEIRO, will be
activating Ilha Rasa [the Flat Island] between May 1st and 4th. The
bands of 160/80/40/30/20/17/15/12/10 meters using SSB, CW and digital
modes with two simultaneous stations will be active. 6m and 2m will be
activated also stations for, SSB/CW/FM for operation in the Araucßria
Competition of VHF.
Team members: Marivaldo Salles/PY1IBM, Marcelo/PY1KN, Felipe/PY1NB,
Ivan/PY1YB, Fabio/PY1ZV, Rafa/PY2NDX, Waldir/PY2WC, J Marcio/PY4OG and
Carlos/PY4OY
The operation will count for the diplomas IOTA SA-079 / ARLHS BRA-047 /
DIB RJ-07 / DFB RJ-10 / WLH PY-048 / WLOTA 0494 - and also will be
activating one rare grid: GG86.
QSL via PY1NB.
BANDS - 1.8MHz to 144MHz, including WARC
4 dedicated stations will be active - one for HF, one for HF+50MHz, one
for 50MHz and one for 144MHz.
Participate as Multi Operator/Multi Band in the AVHFC contest.

The 6 Meter Beacon Project, Inc. is happy to announce a HF-50MHz
Expedition to Guyana (8R) from June 16 to July 6, inclusive. Conditions
will be a JHV at 45 ft on the Atlantic Ocean QTF EU & NA, and a
3CPX800A7. 11 days will be by Chris/W3CMP & Dave/N3DB, the other 11 by
Terry/K4RX & Ken/AC4TO. We hope to get some decent openings to, amongst
other places, Northern EU, 5B/4X & W6/7. Expect to have internet access
most of the time. Operating QRG & website to be announced at a later
