UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, A6. In celebration of World Amateur Radio Day
on April 18 members of the Emirates Amateur Radio Society will be
QRV as A60WARD. QSL via IZ8CLM.
BAHAMAS, C6. Operators AA4NN, W8GEX, N4AA and W8CAA are QRV as
C6DX, C6AAA and C6AYL from Eleuthera Island, IOTA NA-001, until
April 24. Activity is on all bands using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL
C6AAA via N4AA, and C6AYL and C6DX via W8GEX.
MOROCCO, CN. A large group of operators will be QRV as 5C2A, 5C2B,
5C2C, 5C2F, 5C2G, 5C2J, 5C2L, 5C2SG, 5C2Y and 5C2Z from Mogador
Island, IOTA AF-065, from April 18 to 26. Activity will be on 160
to 10 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via operators'
instructions.
CEUTA AND MELILLA, EA9. Look for special event stations EE9IB,
EE9RY and EE9CF to be QRV from Melilla from the Bonete Lighthouse,
ARLHS CEU-011, on April 18 and 19. QSL EE9IB via EA9IB, EE9RY via
EA9RY and EE9CF via EA9CF.
ITALY, I. Adriano, IT9CCB will be QRV as IO9ROTA from April 19 to
May 19 in celebration of the 141st birthday of Paul Harris, the
founder of the Rotary International Club. Activity will be on 40,
20 and 15 meters. QSL via operator's instructions.
MONGOLIA, JT. Operators JH1AWN, JA7AGO, JA7LU and JA7ZP will be
QRV as JT1AWN, JT1AGO, JT1LU and JT1ZP, respectively, from
Ulaanbaatar from April 21 to 28. Activity will be on 160 to 6
meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL to home calls.
SVALBARD, JW. Francois, F8DVD will be QRV as JW/homecall from
Spitsbergen, IOTA EU-026, from April 19 to 25. Activity will be on
all HF bands using CW and SSB. QSL to home call.
PUERTO RICO, KP4. A group of operators will be QRV as special event
station WP4NPC in commemoration of World Amateur Radio Day.
Activity will be mostly on 20 and 15 meters using SSB, various
digital modes and possibly CW. QSL via WP4NPC.
NORWAY, LA. Members of the Radio Club of Gardermoen are QRV as LN2G
until April 19 in conjunction with "Norwegian Hammeeting." Activity
will be mostly on 40 and 20 meters using SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL
via LA2G.
BANGLADESH, S2. Ramon, DU1UGZ is QRV as S21UGZ from Dhaka City
until June 20. He will be active on 80 to 10 meters using SSB and
RTTY in his spare time. QSL to home call.
SEYCHELLES, S7. Davide, IZ3EFL is QRV as S79DF for about one year.
He is currently active on 20 meters but hopes to be QRV on other
bands as well. He may also try to activate Aldabra Island, IOTA
AF-025. QSL via IV3TDM.
POLAND, SP. In celebration of World Amateur Radio Day, special
event stations 3Z0WARD, 3Z2009WARD, HF2009WARD, HF84WARD, HF9WARD,
SN0WARD, SN2009WARD, SP0WARD, SP2009WARD, SQ0WARD and SQ2009WARD are
QRV until April 19. QSL all calls via SP2FAP.
CAYMAN ISLANDS, ZF. Sharon, K7WZB and Garry, K9WZB will be QRV as
ZF2ZB from Cayman Island, IOTA NA-016, from April 21 to May 6.
Activity will be on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31.

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The ARLHS Annual Spring Lites QSO Party,
World Amateur Radio Day, NCCC Sprint CW Ladder, Holyland DX Contest,
TARA Skirmish Digital Prefix Contest, ES Open HF Championship, Feld
Hell Sprint, Michigan QSO Party, EU Spring SSB Sprint, EA-QRP CW
Contest, Ontario QSO Party and the YU DX CW Contest will certainly
keep contesters busy this weekend. The Run for the Bacon QRP CW
Contest is scheduled for April 20. The SKCC CW Sprint and 432 MHz
Spring Sprint are scheduled for April 22. Please see April QST,
