AIR TRAINING CORPS SES GB0ATC
GB0ATC SES will be operational from 6th to the 8th March 2009 on all
bands. Greenock ATC Sqn 4515 will be operating from the Garelochhead
Training Camp Dumbartonshire. The station will be run by the Sqn Radio
Instructor, Brian MM0GLX 4672, who would appreciate calls from RAFARS
Members.

Dave G3OXG RAFARS 427 is the assistant curator of the RAF Signals Museum
at RAF Henlow <www.rafsignalsmuseum.org.uk>. He is researching the
history of RAF Normanby Transmitting Site near Scampton and would be
pleased if anyone who served at the unit, or who knows anything
relevant, however small, gets in touch with him. His details are
contained in the QRZ Call book.

Hi You Castles Friends!
Tomorrow on the morning I will go again as requested, and end with the
new Italian Castles Award reference
DCI-PE034 MURA E PORTE DI CITTA' SANTANGELO
that I have operated last Saturday. I will be on the air on phone
beginning at about 08:00 UTC on 40m, 7080 kHz +/- QRM ; if it will not
be possible there I'll go to 7150 kHz +/- . It will be possible if the
skip is too long for near stations to operate on 80m band, 3650 to 3670
kHz, as requested by some of you. Other bands are possible, too
Operation may end about 11:00 UTC. Working conditions are IC7000 + AH4
and a 10m whip or inverted vee.
Every help with spots will be gratefully accepted; the QSLs will be sent
both by eQSL and by bureau; direct QSL are possible upon receipt of SASE
or SAE and IRC.
Exchange of every Castles Awards References, and QRP calls are very
welcome !!
