PJ4 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES, BONAIRE, SA-006
Larry,PJ4/WO0Z, will be active "holiday style" from Bonaire (SA-006)
in CW, SSB and maybe RTTY from Dec 8-15. QSL via WO0Z.
TR - GABUN
Roland,F8EN, will hit the airwaves as TR8CR or with a special call from
Libreville between Dec 7 and Jan 12. Listen for him mainly on 14005,
14125 and 14200 kHz.He might show up also from AF-043 during this time.

VP5 - TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, NA-002
Bob,VP5/K0OK, and Dale,VP5/KB7UB, will activate Providenciales (NA-002)
in CW/SSB on 6-160m from Dec 6-11. During the ARRL 10m Contest they
will sign VP5E (K0OK) and VP5UB (KB7UB). All QSLs via their homecalls
and the QSOs will be uploaded to the LotW as well. Online logs are at:

VP9 - BERMUDA ISLANDS, NA-005
Igor,VP9/VE3ZF, will activate several Parishes on Bermuda (NA-005) from
Dec 5-8. All Parishes count for the "Worked All Bermuda Award".

VR2 - HONGKONG
At the end of his business trip to China and Hongkong Rupert,VR2/G4XRV,
plans to hit the airwaves on Dec 9. He hopes for better conditions than
last time.
3D2/R - ROTUMA ISLAND, OC-060
Last rumours say Tony,3D2AG, has left Fiji heading to Rotuma already on
last saturday which means he should arrive on Rotuma by Tuesday, Dec 3.
This would be more than a week earlier than announced before. Due to
his QRL Tony expects to become QRV as 3D2AG/p not earlier than Dec 15
but will stay on Rotuma (OC-060) until the end of January. Tony works
in SSB/CW on 10-80m and if he has sufficient power to run a laptop as
well he might show up also in digital modes. His IC-706MKII has 100 W
powered by solar panels and a generator and thanks to a donation of
DF4SA he feeds them into a 5 ele Spiderbeam. Tony can be found on the
usual DX frequencies (+/- QRM) and prefers split operation. He will try
to work also QRP stations.

5R - MADAGASCAR, AF-013
5R8NL is the call of Remco,PG0A, from Madagascar (AF-013) until Dec 7.
He is using a FT-857, an AL811H amplifier, verticals and a Windom.

FRANCE, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The "l'Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Electrotechnique, Electronique,
Informatique, Hydraulique et Telecommunications" also known as ENSEEIHT
is one of the most important technical university in France and
celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. The special event station
TM7IET is working in SSB/CW/PSK31 on all HF bands and in FM on VHF
until Dec 9. QSL via F4DQG.
SILENT KEYS: Over decades Wolf Baron,TI2BY, was a DXer known all over the
world. He started his hobby after WW2 and has been active until
recently. He was a pioneer of digital operating modes and has brought
many newcomers to amateur radio in Central America.

PIRATE: Phil,GU0SUP, writes that MU0A was very active in the CQWW CW Contest
but this call has never been issued by the British licensing authority.
EXTENDED 40m- AND 6m BAND IN SPAIN: By Nov 24,2007, the 40m and 6m band have
extended in Spain. The new portion from 7100-7200 kHz has been assigned
on a secondary basis, the maximum emitted power allowed is 24 dBW which
equals about 250 watts. The 6m band has been extended by the range
51-52 MHz and operation is now allowed from 50-52 MHz with a maximum of
100 watts (exception: Central Spain where power is restricted to 10 W).
