9M2 - The Malay Amateur Radio Society of Northern Peninsular Malaysia
will be active as 9M4KI from Pulau Songsong (AS-058), West
Malaysia on 7-9 August. They will operate SSB on 40-10 metres. QSL

CT - Look for Luis CT1EEQ/p, Arlindo CT1EGW/p and Luis CT4NH/p to be
active from Ilha da Berlenga (EU-040) on 11-15 August.. QSL via

CX - The Radio Club Uruguayo will be active as CW1R from the lighthouse
at Punta del Este on 14-16 August for the International
Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend. They will operate CW, SSB and
digital modes on 80-10 metres with at least two stations. QSL via

D6 - Ken, LA7GIA will be active as D67GIA from Moroni, Comoro Islands
(AF-007) on 14-23 September. Plans are to be QRV on 40-10 metres

F - Look for F5RVO/p to be active from ile Verte (EU-095) on 1-2

F - Bernard, F9IE will be active as TM73IE from his home QTH on
Noirmoutier Island (EU-064) for 15 days scattered between 11
August and 5 October. He will be QRV on 40-6 metres CW and SSB.

GM - The Black Country DX & Contest Group will be active as MS0OXE from
the the south lighthouse (Skaddan) on Fair Isle (EU-012) on 9-15
September. Five operators (G0JKY, G4MKP, M0CKE, M0VKY and M0YOM)
expect to be QRV on 40-10 metres CW, RTTY, SSB and some PSK with
three stations. Due to no mains power throughout the night they
will have to QRT each night around 23.30 local and resume activity

HC - Martin, LU9EFO will be active as HC2/LU9EFO from Guayaquil,
Ecuador on 3-24 August. A side trip and activity as HC8/LU9EFO
from the Galapagos Islands (SA-004) is planned for 3-4 days

I - Celebrating the 55th anniversary of the National Aerobatic Patrol
(the Tricolour Arrows aerobatic team of the Italian Air Force),
ARI Udine will use special callsign II3PAN from 1 September to 31
October. All of the QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the
bureau; direct cards should be sent to IV3IUM. Information on the

JA - Look for JA4GXS/4 to be active from Kasado (AS-117) on 22-23
August. He will operate CW and SSB on 40, 20, 17, 15 and 6 metres.

KH0 - Toshi, JR2UYE, Miho, JJ2VLY and Yutaka, JQ2GYU will be active as
NH0J from Tinian Island (OC-086) on 8-13 August. They will operate

PY - PW2G was expected to participate in the IOTA Contest from Ilha dos
Gatos (SA-071) [425DXN 1251], but a storm prevented the operators
from reaching the island. A new attempt will take place on 1-2
August. Plans are for a larger team to operate SSB, CW and PSK on
80, 40, 20, 15, 12, 10 and 6 metres with two stations. QSL via

PY - PS7AB (SSB) and PP1CZ (CW and digital modes) will be active as
PW70FEB on 1-30 August. This is the eighth of a series of twelve
special callsigns; the suffix stands for Forca Expedicionaria
Brasileira, the Brazilian Expeditionary Force that fought
alongside the Allied powers in Italy during World War II. QSL via
PS7AB (direct or bureau), LoTW and eQSL. Information on the award

PY - PY2SEI and PY2ZA will be active as PS1AI from Ilha do Araujo

PY0F - Leo, PP1CZ will be active again as PY0F/PP1CZ from Fernando de
Noronha (SA-003) on 26-31 August. He will operate CW, RTTY and

SM - Kjell, SM4DDS will be active as 7S5A from Stora Alo-Boko (EU-177)
from 30 July to 4 August. He operates CW and SSB on 80-10 metres.

TF - Jeff, F4GGQ will be active holiday style as TF/F4GGQ from Iceland

TF - Bill, K2HVN reports he will be active as TF/K2HVN from Iceland
from 31 August to 6 September. He will operate CW and SSB on 40-17

UA - The R7AL/0 operation from the rare Malminskiye Islands (AS-172)
[425DXN 1247] will now be a one man show by Vasily, R7AL. On 30
July he reported that "all goes well" for him to leave home on 6
August, with activity starting on the 10th at the earliest. QSL

W - Members of the Old Barney ARC will be operating as N2OB from 'Old
Barney', the Barnegat Lighthouse on Long Beach Island (NA-111) on

YJ - Rod, YJ8RN expects to be back to Loh Island (OC-110) between 3 and
14 August, with plans to QRV in his spare time. Look for him on or
around 14290 kHz in the 6-8 UTC time frame (earlier over the

ZF - Henning, OZ1BII (www.oz1bii.dk) will be active again as ZF2EE from
the Cayman Islands (NA-016) on 7-9 August. He will participate in

PACIFIC TOUR ---> Uli, DL2AH will be active holiday style as NH0/DL2AH from
Rota Island, Northern Marianas (OC-086) from 30 September to 16 October,

November. He will operate mainly SSB on 40-10 metres with 100 watts. QSL via

E51DWC ---> Milan, E51DWC (OK1DWC) has been active from Rarotonga (OC-013),
South Cook Islands since 11 June and says he will be there "until September
at least". He operates CW and SSB on 160-10 metres and has logged some
13,600 QSOs so far. QSL via OK1DWC, direct or bureau, LoTW and eQSL.

INDEXA NEWSLETTERS ---> The International DX Association (INDEXA) was
established in September 1983. Ever since then INDEXA has published a
Newsletter with information on its activities and reports from DXpeditions
that it supported. All of the INDEXA's Newsletters (118 editions, starting
with Issue #1 from the Spring of 1984) are now available online at

R3RRC/0 ---> After many trials and tribulations, the R3RRC/0 DXpedition
team started up from a cold, rainy and foggy Brusneva Island (AS-082) on 28
July at 06.14 UTC, and went QRT around 19 UTC on the 29th. They also used
RF3A/0 (QSL via R3BY, see qrz.com) during this operation. They used paper
logs, so it is likely it will take some time before the log search and OQRS
on Club Log are available. See www.as082.org for pictures and updates.

YASME FOUNDATION'S SUPPORTING GRANTS ---> The Board of Directors of the
Yasme Foundation (www.yasme.org) announced on 28 July that it has made
supporting grants in furtherance of its goal of supporting the development
of amateur radio, as follows:
- A grant to the Organizing Committee of the 2018 World Radio Team
Championship for the organizational and licensing fees associated with two
special call sign stations;
- A grant to the Reverse Beacon Network for the purchase of the equipment
necessary to establish a node at the ET3AA club station in Ethiopia;
- A grant to a representative of the Voodoo Contest Group for the purchase
of amateur radio training materials to be used for training sessions of
