3B7C BOOK. During the middle of April, Pete, SM5GMZ, will releases another
photo book (approx. 90 page) about the 2007 Saint Brandon DXpedition. Pete
was one of the 20 operators who together managed to work 137,500 QSOs
during an absolute sunspot minimum. The book consists of a large number
of images, all in full color. In texts, Pete describes how it is to be on
an uninhabited atoll in the middle of the southern Indian Ocean where
nothing but amateur radio and satellite phones work. He also tries to
explain the joy of endless multi-layer pile-ups and describes the enormous
planning that comes with a DXpedition of this magnitude. For more info
and details on how to order the book, see: http://www.3b7cbook.com

7T50/7T9, ALGERIA (Just Reminder). Members of the Algerian Radio Amateurs

SILENT KEY (DXer's Have Lost Another Legend). It is with great sorrow to
report that DXers have lost a great friend and well-known DXer. Luis, XE1L,
became a Silent Key, shortly after returning to San Diego from the recent
TX5K Clipperton Island DXpedition. Reports indicate that Luis was stricken
with a major heart attack and passed away within minutes. An ARRL Life
Member, Luis held Top of Honor Roll (Phone and Mixed), with all 340 current
entities confirmed. He also held DXCC for Mixed, Phone, CW and RTTY, as
well as 5-Band DXCC, and had a total of 354 entities, including deleted.
World-Wide DXers will miss him greatly on the air. Here are just a few
