Z8 - DX World reports that the first two amateur radio operators in the

         OM3JW). Both of them live and work in Juba. Jim will be back home

         early November. "Once I am set up and operating", he says, "I plan

         the time being, he can use Diya's station.
ZD9 - Weather permitting, Martin G3ZAY and Rob M0VFC should arrive on
         Tristan da Cunha [425DXN 1113] around 27 September, and be active
         as ZD9UW until 4 October. Their main goal is "to allow as many
         people as possible to get ZD9 in their log at least once, rather
         than concentrating on those aiming to work us on multiple slots".
         They expect to be QRV on 80-10 metres CW (Martin) and SSB (Rob),
         with some RTTY if time and pile-ups permit. There's unlikely to be
         time for 160m operation ("we can probably give more people the
         chance to work us on the higher bands"), but they will have a
         small 6m antenna and will be operational if the band is reasonably
         open. QSL via OQRS on Club Log (for both direct and bureau  cards);
         traditional direct cards should be sent to M0VFC. Further
         information, including how to help the Tristan da Cunha
         Educational Trust Fund and receive a direct QSL card from the
         island, can be found at www.zd9uw.org.uk. [TNX G3ZAY]
