DL     - DJ9MD, DK7JAN, DK8MIL and DL7MUK  will  be  active  as  DF0TM  from
         Ruegen Island (EU-057) on 13-16 April. They plan to be  QRV  on  80
         and 20 metres SSB. QSL via bureau. Direct cards should be  sent  to

IS0    - ARI Olbia will participate in the 25th  International  Marconi  Day
         (21 April) as IY0GA  from  Cape  Figari,  Golfo  Aranci  (Sardinia,
         EU-024), where Guglielmo Marconi carried out a microwave test  with
         Rocca di Papa (Rome) on 11 August 1932. QSL via IS0JMA,  direct  or

JA     - Look for Takeshi, JS6RRR and  Fusao, JA5DUR/JS6 to be active   from
         Miyako Island (AS-079) between  26  April  and  7  May.  They  will
         operate SSB, CW, FM and some RTTY and PSK31 on  160-6  metres.  QSL

JA     - Yuki, JO2ASQ will operate CW only as  JO2ASQ/8  from  Rebun  Island
         from 30 April to 1 May, and from Rishiri Island on  2-3  May.  Both
         the islands count for IOTA group AS-147. QSL via home call,  direct

JW     - Michael, DB5MH (www.diskoisland.de)  will  be  active  as  JW/DB5MH
         from  Spitsbergen  (EU-026),  Svalbard  on  14-22  April.  He  will
         operate QRP on or around 14315 kHz. [TNX DB5MH]
KH0    - Masahiko, JH4VUC will be active as WH0VU from  Saipan  (OC-086)  on
         17-21 April. QSL direct to his home call.
KP4    - Jeff,  VA3QSL  will  be  active  as  KP4/VA3QSL  from  Puerto  Rico
         (NA-099) from 22 April to 4 May, including a two-day side  trip  to
         nearby Isla de Vieques. He will operate SSB and CW on 40, 20 and  6

LA     - Ric, DL2VFR and Norbert, DL2RNS will be active as  LA/  DL2VFR  and
         LA/DL2RNS from the Hvaler Islands (EU-061) on 16-21 May. They  will
         operate CW and SSB on the HF bands. QSL via home calls,  direct  or

OE     - The  Amateur  Radio  Section  of  ORF  (the  Austrian  Broadcasting
         Corporation) and the Documentary Archives Radio  Communications/QSL
         Collection will  operate  special  event  station  OE12M  on  20-22
         April. This is an official "International Marconi Day" station  and
         contacts made on 21 April will count for the  IMD  Award.  QSL  via
         OE1WHC, direct or bureau.
OZ     - Noel, OO4O will be active as OZ/OO4O  from  Hou  Fyr  on  Langeland
         Island (EU-172) from 29 April to 5 May. He will operate mainly  SSB
         and CW on the HF bands. QSL via LoTW and the  Belgian  QSL  bureau.

SM     - Ric, DL2VFR and Norbert,  DL2RNS  will  be  active  as  SD7V/6  and
         SD7N/6 from Orust Island (EU-043) on 11-14 May. They  will  operate
         CW and SSB on the HF bands. QSL via home calls, direct  or  bureau.

SP     - The SP0CFF group will operate special  event  station  HF87WARD  on
         17-30 April to celebrate World Amateur Radio  Day  (18  April)  and
         the 87th anniversary of the founding of the  International  Amateur
         Radio Union. QSL  via  eQSL.cc  and  WFF  Logsearch;  direct  cards
         should  be  sent  to  Polish  Club  Flora  &  Fauna,  Wielmozy  5b,
         Suchacz-Zamek, 82-340 Tolkmicko, Poland.
SV9    - Look for Seppo, SV9/OH1VR to  be  active  from  Crete  (EU-015)  on
         21-28 April. He will operate mainly CW on  80-10  metres.  QSL  via

TA     - The TC Special Wireless  Activity  Team  (www.tcswat.org)  will  be
         active as TC57A on 21-26 April in remembrance of  the  role  played
         by the 57th Infantry Regiment ("Alay") of the  Turkish  Fifth  Army
         during the Dardanelles Campaign in 1915. All of the  QSOs  will  be
         confirmed via the bureau, direct cards go to TA1HZ.
UA     - Special event station R150SPA will be  active  on  14-23  April  to
         commemorate  the  150th  anniversary  of  the  birth  of    Russian
         statesman Pyotr A. Stolypin. QSL via RA4CEO.
UA     - RA9LR, RV9LF, UA9LAC,  UA9LAO,  UA9LEW,  UA9LL,  UA9LP,  UA9LT  and
         UB9LBS will be active as RK9LWA/9 from Olenyi  Ruchyi  Nature  Park
         on 19-22 April. They will operate CW,  SSB  and  digital  modes  on
         80-10 metres, probably with some activity also on 144 and  430  Mhz

V3     - Mike, VE2XB reports he will be active on all bands  as  V31XB  from
         Caye Caulker (NA-073) on 11-31 May. QSL via home call.
VK0M   - Trevor, VK0TH expected to  go  QRT  from  Macquarie  Island  on  14
         April, but now it looks like he will be able to continue  operating
         until the 19th. His QRV schedule can be found on qrz.com.
VK9X   - Dan, JA1PBV is active  as  VK9XS  from  Christmas  Island  (OC-002)
         until 17 April. QSL via home call. Logsearch at http://ito110.com/
XV     - Mal, VK6LC will be active again as XV4LC from  Vinh  Long,  Vietnam
         on 19-24 April. He will operate holiday style on 20 and  17  metres
         CW and SSB. QSL direct only to VK6LC.
ZA     - Franck, F4DTO and Patrick, F4GFE will  be  active  as  ZA100I  from
         Albania on 22-29  April.  They  will  operate  SSB  only  on  40-10
         metres. QSL via F4DTO, direct or bureau.

70 MHZ CONTEST ---> ARI Roma organizes the second edition of the 70 MHz  and
Cross-Band Contest, to be held on  10  June  from  7  to  17  UTC.  Complete

CAMPBELL ISLAND 2012 ---> The team for the ZL9HR 17-30  November  expedition
to Campbell Island [425DXN 1091] includes HA5AO, K3EL, K5GS,  KE4KY,  VE7DS,

CQ MM DX CONTEST ---> The results of the CQ Manchester  Mineira  DX  Contest
2001 are now available at www.cqmmdx.com. This year's event will be held  on

INTERNATIONAL MARCONI DAY ---> Organized by the Cornish Radio Amateur  Club,
the International Marconi Day (IMD) is a 24-hour amateur  radio  event  held
annually to celebrate the birth of Guglielmo Marconi (25 April 1874). It  is
not a contest, but an opportunity for amateurs  around  the  world  to  make
contacts with historic Marconi sites  using  HF  communications  techniques.
This year's event will be held on 21 April, from  00.00  UTC  through  23.59
UTC. Details, including information on the relevant Award  Certificates  and
the listing of participating stations, can be found at www.gb4imd.org.uk

QSL FO8RZ ---> Phil, F5PHW, reports that QSLs for FO8RZ and FO8RZ/p can  now

T32C: SLIDESHOW ---> While the ST0R  DXpedition  video  is  still  available
[425DXN 1090], the International DX Association (www.indexa.org) has added a
new button to their home page: "DXpedition Slideshows".  The first slideshow
is from the recent T32C DXpedition to Christmas Island. [TNX K4MQG]

WAPC ---> The first Worked All Provinces of China (WAPC) DX Contest will  be
held on 6 October. A trial contest will be run on 21 April (0000-2359  UTC).
Logs and records will be filed, but no awards will  be  issued.  Full  rules

WARD AWARD ---> The WARD (World Amateur Radio Day)  Award  commemorates  the
World Amateur Radio Day celebrated by IARU on 18 April each year. The  award
is sponsored by MK QTC (the Polish Amateur Radio Journal)  with  the  Polish
Amateur Radio Union's support, and it is issued  to  licenced  amateurs  and
SWLs for contacts made/heard between  00.00  and  23.59  UTC  on  18  April.

+ SILENT KEYS + Adam Perz (SP5JTF) passed away on 2 April, at  56  years  of
age. A former HF Manager for the Polish Amateur Radio Union, he was  a  DXer
and a contestman, and a member of the SP5PBE  (Warsaw  DX  Club)  and  SN0HQ
teams.
Other recently reported Silent Keys include Ladislav Pagac (OM4DA)  and  Jan
Horsky (OM3MM), Slovakia's leading DXer with 389 credited  entities  in  the
current DXCC Mixed standings.
