5V     - Franco, I1FQH will be active as 5V7V from Togo  on  5-17  February.
         He plans to focus on 160-30 metres. QSL via home call and LoTW.
6O     - Darko, J28AA (E70A) expects to be active  (callsign  to  be  issued
         upon arrival) from  Hargeisa,  Somaliland  on  10-20  February.  He
         plans to be  QRV  on  40-10  metres,  and  "to  teach  local  radio
         amateurs and perhaps to  establish  local  radio  club".  [TNX  The

A5     - Iain, G4SGX will be active as A52JF  from  Paro,  Bhutan  on  11-15
         February (www.g4sgx.org/blog/). He will operate CW,  SSB,  PSK  and
         JT65 on 40-10 metres. QSL via home call, eQSL and LoTW.
CT8    - OH2BH, OH2MM, OH2PM and OH8NC will soon  embark  on  a  three  week
         long operating stint taking them to the  Azores  to  activate  CR2A
         and CR2X along with CU2KG and CU2KH in a variety of  configurations
         in the ARRL CW & SSB Contests, in addition to  the  CQWW  160M  SSB

CY9    - An international 10-man team will be active  from  St  Paul  Island
         (NA-094) during the middle part of 2012. Full details are  expected

F      - Francois, F8DVD  will  be  active  as  TM8AAW  on  10-26  February,
         including the 9th Antarctic  Activity  Week  (20-26  February).  He
         will operate on 40-10 metres  mostly  SSB  from  his  home  QTH  in
         Macon, France. QSL via home call, direct or bureau. [TNX F8DVD]
FG     - Jean-Pierre, F6ITD will operate SSB and digital  modes  on  the  HF
         bands from Guadeloupe (NA-102) between 9  February  and  13  March.
         Look for as FG/F6ITD to be QRV from Basse-Terre until 19  February,
         and then from La Desirade. QSL via home  call,  direct  or  bureau.

FP     - Al, W6HGF will be active as FP/W6HGF from Miquelon Island  (NA-032)
         on 10-20 February. Operation is planned to be focused  on  digital,
         mostly RTTY, including an entry in the CQ WW WPX RTTY  contest.  He
         will also be active during the ARRL DX CW. QSL  via  W6HGF,  direct
         or bureau (OQRS through Club Log), LoTW and eQSL. [TNX NG3K]
FR     - Stephane, F5UOW will be active as TO2R from Reunion Island from  26
         March to 9 April. On 24-25 March and 10-14 April  he  will  operate
         as FR/homecall. Look for him to be QRV in his spare time  on  40-10

G      - Special event callsign GR100MGY will be operated by members of  the
         Wey  Valley  Amateur  Radio  Group  (www.weyvalleyarg.org.uk)    in
         Godalming,  England  on  10-15  April  to  commemorate  the   100th
         anniversary of the sinking of RMS  Titanic.  The  activity  honours
         the memory of the ship's chief wireless  operator,  Jack  Phillips,
         born and bred in Godalming, whose Morse distress  messages  led  to
         the saving of hundreds of lives. The callsign's suffix letters  MGY
         were the Titanic's radio callsign back in 1912,  while  the  prefix
         stands for Godalming Remembers. Two 400-watt stations  will  be  on
         the air on 80-10 metres CW; SSB will be used on 14  and  15  April,
         when the station is open to the public (from noon to 4pm).  QSLling

H4     - Noel, W1XB will be active as H44XB  from  the  Solomon  Islands  on
         7-28  February.  He  will  operate  holiday  style   mainly    from
         Guadalcanal (OC-047) on 20, 15 and 10 metres CW and  SSB  QRP.  QSL

JW     - Torkel,  LA6VJA   will   be  active  as  JW6VJA  from  Longyearbyen
         (EU-026), Svalbard on 11 February. He is likely  to  work  the  low
         bands only, as he will be in darkness  all  day.  QSL  via  LA6VJA,

KH2    - Take, JS6RRR plans to be active as KH2/JS6RRR  from  Guam  (OC-026)
         on 10-14 February. He plans to be QRV on 160-6 metres SSB,  CW,  FM
         RTTY and PSK31. QSL via bureau to JS6RRR.
PZ     - Ken N2ZN, Redd AI2N and Dave WJ2O will  be  active  as  PZ5RO  from
         Suriname on 16-21 February, ARRL DX CW Contest  included.  QSL  via

T8     - Look for Takeshi, JH1WGP to be active as T88WG  from  Koror  Island
         (OC-009), Palau on 9-15 February. He  plans  to  be  QRV  on  80-10
         metres CW, SSB and digital modes. QSL via home call. [TNX VA3RJ]
T8     - Kazu, JA1IST will be active as T88ZO from Koror Island),  Palau  on
         10-19 February. Expect him to operate CW, RTTY and SSB  on  the  HF

W      - Members of the Palos Verdes ARC will operate as K6PV/6  from  Santa
         Catalina Island (NA-066) on 23-26 February. Plans are  to  be  160,
         80, 40, 20, 15 and 10m capable on SSB, CW, RTTY, and  maybe  PSK31.

XE     - XE2AA and other nine operators will be active as  XF1AA  from  Isla
         Isabela (NA-189) on 16-21 March. They plan to operate SSB,  CW  and

XV     - Take, JA6CNH will  be  active  as  XV2CNH  from  Vietnam  on  10-15
         February. He will be QRV  on  160-6  metres  CW,  SSB  and  digital
         modes. QSL via home call.
XW     - Bruce, AA4XR (ex XW1B) will be active again from Laos for  a  10-20
         February. XW4XR is the new callsign issued to  him,  and  owing  to
         "new rules and regulations" he can be QRV only on  40,  30  and  20
         metres, at least for the time being. He  plans  to  participate  in
         the ARRL DX CW Contest (18-19 February). QSL via E21EIC.  [TNX  The

ZA     - TA1HZ will be active as ZA1TC from Durres, Albania on 23-26  March,
         CQ WW WPX SSB Contest included.  He  plans  to  concentrate  on  30

AFRICA TOUR --> Luc, F5RAV will be active as  6V7T  from  Senegal  on  24-26
February and again on 3-7 March. Between 27 February  and 2 March he will be
signing C5LT from  from  Kololi,  The  Gambia.  He will operate SSB and PSK.
QSL via F5RAV, direct only.

9Q0AR ---> On 27 January, Amateur Radio examinations were  administered  for
21 candidates at the ARAC  clubhouse  in  Kinshasa,  Democatic  Republic  of
Congo. All cadidates passed, and the club "has great plans to be on the  air
with their club station 9Q0AR on a regular basis". [TNX IARU Region 1]

HK0NA --->  The  HK0NA  team  will  leave  Malpelo  on  5  February  in  the
afternoon. The operating site on the top will close down  on  the  3rd,  and
activity will continue from the  site  located  on  the  east  side  of  the
island. Plans are to have a couple of stations QRV until the last few hours.

QSL OJ0X ---> QSLing for the 2011  Market  Reef,  OJ0X  activities  is  well
underway and 80% of  direct  QSL  requests  have  been  answered.  With  the
completion of this phase, over the next few weeks,  the  OJ0X  log  will  be

VP6T ---> The VP6T Pitcairn DXpedition went QRT at 16.32 UTC on 1  February,
after 11.5 days of continuous operation and nearly 56,300  QSOs  which  have
all been uploaded to both  ClubLog  and  LoTW.  They  closed  down  one  day
earlier than previously  announced  in  order  to  avoid  the  deteriorating
weather expected on the three-day sail back to Mangareva (FO).
