NOT THE QSL MANAGER FOR 3D2EG. Lilah, KE6EHD, has been receiving several
direct QSL requests for a RTTY operation by 3D2EG during the contest on
September 25, 2011. However, KE6EHD is NOT the QSL Manager for that or
any other DX operation. The correct QSL route is via K3IRV, direct or

ST0R QSL AND LOTW STATUS. Antonio, EA5RM, informs OPDX: "As you may
know, the distribution of ST0R QSL cards has begun. The Republic of
South Sudan was recently added to the DXCC entities list, so each QSO
confirmed by our manager will be the confirmation of a new one. Because
of this, the DXCC Desk has expressed the concern that they may be
overwhelmed by thousands of applications to credit the new entity.
Consequently, we have decided to make an exception, and upload to
the LOTW all the individual donor QSOs and OQRS ones, by 1st November.

or Mexico will increase five cents to 85 cents, and letters to other
international locations will increase seven cents to 1.05 USDs. Reason
given for the increase: "The Postal Service is facing a financial crisis
because mail volumes have declined as more people use electronic mail
or the services of private sector competitors such as FedEx and United
Parcel Service. For more info, go to:

SILENT KEY. It has been reported that Dudley, Z22JE, became a Silent
Key (SK) on October 10th. Dudley was Vice President of the Zimbabwe
Amateur Radio Society (ZARS). OPDX and its reader would like to send
out our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Z22JE.
T2, TUVALU (T2T Press Press). Bill, VK4FW, sent out the following press
release on October 21st: "The Online QSL Request Service (OQRS) for the
3D2T and T2T is set up for people to use, BUT it is extremely important
for everyone to refrain from using it before I return home on the 11th
December 2011, so that the mailbox does not become full and E-mails
start bouncing. The URL for the online OQRS is <www.vk4fw.com/oqrs.php>.
The online log for T2T is also set up and ready to go. There will be no
online log available at this stage for 3D2T."
T32, CHRISTMAS ISLAND. With only a few days to go, the Five Star DXers
Association (FSDXA) group continues to be very active as T32C from
Kiritimati (Christmas Island) until October 26th. As of 0712z, October
23rd, the T32C operation has made 203360/QSOs with 47422 Unique Callsigns
(83670/SSB, 98479/CW, 686/PSK, 18805/RTTY and 1713/FM). Logs will be
uploaded to ClubLog <www.clublog.org/charts/?c=3DT32C&a=3Dembed> on a daily
basis, and any news posted will be on the T32C website. For more details/
updates, visit their Web page at: http://www.t32c.com
ADDED NOTES:
* LEADERBOARD SCORING AT T32C: Michael/G7VJR and Marios/5B4WN from the
"Club Log" web page <http://www.clublog.org> report the following:
"During the T32C expedition, a large number of stations have succeeded
in working the maximum number of slots possible, or share the same number
of slots as a large number of other stations. Using the 'first past the
post' scoring system, those who worked these slots first are ranked
highest. Duplicates count negatively.
This scoring system has been manipulated by a small number of stations
operating illegally. They have determined that by using someone else's
callsign and working T32C, they can create duplicates and force that
callsign down the leaderboard.
Ranking changes -- In response to this problem, the scoring system for
the T32C is changing to a ranking that does not penalize duplicate QSOs.
This removes the loophole that is being exploited. This change will be
made live on 19th October, with the agreement of the T32C expedition
team, to improve the fairness of the scoring."
* OCTOBER 21ST WEB PAGE RELEASE: "The QSO count is currently at 188.75k
with 49% CW, 41% SSB and 9% RTTY. As you might guess we are working hard
to exceed 200k.
During the day (local time) we are running a 6m beacon on 50.102 MHz.
If you hear the beacon please put a note on the cluster and we will break
the beacon and try for QSOs. So far we have had 99 six meter QSOs, mainly
with the West Coast USA and Hawaii. The beacon has been heard in Japan
and South America. We have also completed a number of 6m EME QSOs.
With just a few days to go to the end of the DXpedition, we are beginning
to plan the station close down. There will be a phased shut down beginning
at 1600z on Monday 24th October, with the last station closing by 0100z
on Tuesday 25th. We will keep the 'high rate' stations running as long
as possible.
If you look at the on line log and QSOs that were previously in there
appear to be missing, don't despair, query the log a little later, they
will be there." UPDATED NOTE: The T32C operation has surpassed the 200k
QSOs mark as of press time making the Christmas Island, Eastern Kiribati,
DXpedition the highest total for a DXpedition previously held by the VP6DX
DXpedition.

Island (AN-005): "I am approaching my last weeks on Macquarie Island. In
this time I would like to give as many people as possible that 'new one'.
Unfortunately, there are many operators who are unaware of how to behave
in a pile up and behave so badly other amateurs lose the contact opportu-
nity. If you call incessantly, or call when another station or callsign
is being requested you will receive a zero by zero report. Hopefully,
this improves the opportunity of a contact for the polite and sometimes
less strong stations. Thanks to the many skilled and polite operators
who have taken the effort and time to make contact." QSL via JE1LET
direct only (see QRZ.com).
