Hello and welcome to Packetland David WT9I.

Peter is the name here, I too, am in a small town on the
south-east shore of Lake Simcoe, 50miles or more North of
the City of Toronto.

Yes sirree ... I know where Terre Haute Indiana is, as I
spent lots of time in Bloomington Indiana, and still have
family in the area.

I am active with the Canadian group similar to SKYWARN
only we call it CANWARN,

Well we do have a YL @WW topic thread, and they chat about
gardens and recipes , and I usually dropby for my monthly
YL @WW report.

I like your idea about using packet for emergency
communications. You might read some "gloom n doom"
postings here where a few want packet to shutdown completely
and ..oh well...here in CANADA, I see more coming back
and with it newer networks.

I like the idea of solar projects, as I need power when
sailing, for night lights, and the radio, so I am always
looking for better systems.

OK ..David WT9I ... again welcome to Packet, and join
in whenever you want ... < oops..some think it is trolling
or lurking> so beware <g> hahahaha.
