Hi Dave and others,

Sorry about the size of the GIF file, I kept it as a gif and not a jpg because I wanted to preserve the transparency of the background so I can overlay it on future HTML postings without worrying about the background colour.

I suppose I tried to avoid the "U Tube" chunky graphics effect you get when you make the resolution to low. I will let the dust settle and send out a smaller one in the next few days. You can place that in HTMLIB to supercede this one. (or leave both if you like).

I use adobe photoshop cs2 to make the images and I just used the web settings without checking the actual size. (Bad Tony!!!!)
No apologies for the "soldiers uniform" photo I wanted that to be detailed so that there was no doubt about it being a fake composite. I was still at UNI when the Vietnam war was on much less the second world war.

The underlying photo of the soldier and his wife was of a chap by the surname of Edwards who was a survivor of the Gallipolle (spelling??) campaign. I used the photo (with his family's permission).

One of his sons is a mate of mine in the video world.

I received the photo as part of a package I was doing for the family in converting his war story from tape to DVD. With photos and commentary by the man himself now long dead.

It made some what graphic and gruesome listening as he described several incidents that had occurred to him personally.. It gave me a much better understanding of what it was like to be in an untenable position militarily speaking.

p.s. You would reckon an Aussie would be able to spell Gallipolle properly but none of my spell checkers can help and all my books are in the house to far away to bother to go and look it up..
