Hello again Bob,

I can not see why it is relevant Canada or any country
does whatever they do...so long as they are happy with the
changes and can progress in an orderly manner.

The Population of Canada is now about 35 million, and that
large portion isn't of French Origin. In fact, from the
first settlers to the present day those original French
settlers....most cast offs..chased outta France ended
up in what was known as New France....only to be traded
away for some slaves and a sprice Island in the Indies.

They were betrayed by France. And well I guess so they
would have no loyalty to England ... I wonder why...But
then surprise their language and religious rights as well
the running of New France...or Quebec was a starting
point for Canada emerging a little over 100 years later.

Perhaps after the French Revolution, a few Frenchmen
escaping France, to England , went to Quebec...but then
in the years after....many Irish ..mostly chldren went
to Quebec....checkout the Irish Potato Famine < they
certainly had no loyalty for the English>.

Come to think of ... Canadians...really as far back as
the American Revolution and War of 1812, had no real
loyalty to England..but a love for their country
which led to them being united in resolve to beat
back a few American invasions.

Since I really have not really read Australian history
except perhaps some limited knowledge as Prisoners being
sent there instead of North America, I can not comment.

But then what matters if peoples gather and feel they are
a nation? If there is a Welsh flag to proclaim their
nationhood, and well who cares if they meet the UN standards
for nationhood .... we have plenty of indigenous peoples
here, in Canada, and local to me..who have no flag, but
know they are a nation.

Back to shoveeling...oh no fog... well time to go for
a walkabout with Rusty... ttfn

Peter
