Hi Tony and all,

Belatedly, I changed the subject field to fit the subject currently under
discussion. Well, how many is worn out and I don't care about grumpy old
users and their Winpack in automatic mode. (;->)

I'm spot on about electricity prices but don't praise me, I have a network of
spies and in this case Ray VK2TV.

"The tnc is called the TNC-pi"
I'll have to tell him about that, he may be interested for his APRS node, but
since he mentioned the computer also has his FTP host on it I suggested he
replace the HD if that's what spat the dummy, he'll find out when he gets
home from his tour of the countryside. We jokingly agreed Raspberry Pi likely
hasn't enough capacity for one fond of uploading movies to it, me.

He's a Linux man through and through, DOS is a dinosaur and Linux is
practically bulletproof making it an ideal way to avoid that dreaded Windows
blue screen of death. Eh, no such thing these days but it's still a popular
phrase, more colorful (blue) than a systems crash. Oh, if you run into
serious difficulty maybe you could drop him a line, everybody needs a guru
and he's when it comes to many things the Wizard of Oz.

When you find all those radios you'll end up with an equipment rack in the
corner like his before he shut down the BBS and used the radios for mobile
APRS. He's out of 2M range now, coverage is spotty in many far flung
locations, so next time out he'll be set up for 30M.

That fly has been stuck in the ointment for SO long it will be overjoyed when
you finally pluck it out and set it free. Amprnet has only so many IP
addresses so one may expect a long waiting list, I'm on one for one of those
Senior benefits, Meals On Wheels. Eventually I'll get lunch delivered, pop it
in the microwave and I'm all set.

"With all this new stuff to play with you wouldn't be dead for quids"
Now there's another Aussieism to remember, forget Paul Hogan's Foster's
Lager, I'll learn to speak Australian eventually, mate. Besides, the only
Australian beer imported tastes like (insert expletive here).

As for the new year, after 2013 being all Friday the 13th the light at the
end of the tunnel isn't a train. You don't want me to pee and moan here, this
is not the 75M band in America. Now you can take down the best wishes, it's
the day after Armageddon, I'm buried up to my neck in snow.

If you want to soar like an eagle, don't flock with turkeys.
