Hi Paul,

what a honor to do forwarding with your station GB7CIP!
GB7CIP represents the history of PacketRadio/Pactor and TCP/IP over radio.
I remember I started first experiments with TCP/IP in 1993-94 with
the NOS. I was along with my brother Raffaello (IZ0QWM now, ex IW7CHV).
I was just a child, like my son now. I had fun playing with FTP, Telnet,
SMTP, CONVERSD.

I do my best to keep this hobby alive. I've invested money (many
money...don't tell to my wife) to buy HF equipment and implement
Pactor/Packet/VARA/Robust Packet radio ports.
I'm not disappointed. I feel the same excitement as in the '90 when
someone from abroad connects my BBS. Amazing!

Regards,
Marco

Congratualtions Jose give yourself * * * * *

Just out of interest I checked my Log book
GB7CIP (gb7cip.ampr.org tcpip bbs) went online at 29 January 1995 01:00
Hours
(yea olde fun days of 'vertical learning')

Looking further through the log, became ax25/tcpip April 1999.
In May 2003 following the closure of local AX25 BBS's took
over South London AX25 BBS Forwarding Services.

We use to have a lot of active TCPIP and AX25 (Nodes, Routers, BBS's) in
North,East,West,South London. All closed down now.

The GB7CR TheNet 1.1 nodes began operations March 1990

GB7CIP HF Pactor LinFBB operations commenced 27 June 2005
