Hello
Both HF packet BBS in Turkey, TA2BBS in Ankara and TA7BB in Giresun have
changed the 40m standby frequency after the recent bandplan change.
They can now be found in the HF spectrum on 7047.0 kHz mark at 200hz shift
FSK @ 300bds. TA2BBS scans the new frequency 3 secs once half a minute while
TA7BB is permanent qrv.
In SSB mode you have to tune yout VFO dial this way:
USB DIAL FREQUENCY = MARK QRG - HIGHER TONE of FSK MODEM
LSB DIAL FREQUENCY = MARK QRG + LOWER TONE of FSK MODEM
You can find the tones of your modem in its manual.
Examples
KAM with FSK tones at 1800 Hz and 1600 Hz
USB DIAL FREQUENCY = 7047.000 kHz - 1.800 kHz = 7045.200 kHz
LSB DIAL FREQUENCY = 7047.000 kHz + 1.600 kHz = 7048.600 kHz
PK232 with FSK tones at 2310 Hz and 2110 Hz (US high tones)
USB DIAL FREQUENCY = 7047.000 kHz - 2.310 kHz = 7044.690 kHz
LSB DIAL FREQUENCY = 7047.000 kHz + 2.110 kHz = 7049.110 kHz
PK232 with FSK tones aPK232 with FSK tones at 1460 Hz and 1260 Hz (EU low tones)
USB DIAL FREQUENCY = 7047.000 kHz - 1.460 kHz = 7045.540 kHz
LSB DIAL FREQUENCY = 7047.000 kHz + 1.260 kHz = 7048.260 kHz
