I've been seeing a flood of "wp@ww" and "wp@usbbs" type bulletins floating
around. Why are these going here? If W0RLI were alive, he'd redirect them
to LLL.

The content of these bulletins do appear to be updates for White Pages
databases however this is NOT PROPER PROTOCOL. We have had protocols
and procedures for a REASON for decades. Why are they being violated?
I've heard excuses such as "My bbs doesn't allow sending White Pages
to a group of BBS". Guess what? The answer is: DON'T USE IT! If your
TNC keys up random tones you wouldn't use it on the air, so why would
one use a broken BBS software on a global network?

In the interim, stop your White Pages BULLETINS until the author of
your software can fix it OR... switch to another system. If one needs
to see the protocol of White Pages, search or ask. The code where it
follows procedure is OPEN SOURCE (for a reason). White pages gets sent
as type P not type B and is processed upon receipt, and immediately
killed.. and should ONLY be seen by your BBS' _direct neighbor bbs_.
When this system is put in place, each bbs hands off their database
entries like a relay race of sorts.

Thanks for reading and helping clean up the pollution.
