I guess it depends on the parameters one uses to define "increase" and
over what period of time.

The number of users who connect to the BBS to download stuff?

The amount of personal or bulletin traffic uploaded?

Or what?

And isn't it surreal, that not so many years ago, that bulletin, from
Sheffield, 60 miles from here on the NE coast, would have found its
way to me at my former BBS GB7HUL, probably via GB7WRG, or GB7YKS in
a couple of hops on 2M FM, whereas it went halfway around the world
and back via internet across several continents:

Here's the path it took:

!VK7AX!JN1ZPJ!7M3TJZ!XE1FH!N9ZZK!W1REP!W4RAL!KG4IVD!KD4KVG!CX2SA!F5GOV!
!DB0RES!ON0AR!VK6HGR!VK4TRS!GB7YKS!GB7SYP!

Surreal!

I've seen nothing more of G7MLL other than that one bulletin. So the term
"increase" would perhaps more accurately be described as a "blip" or flash
in the pan.

Another confirmed sighting would be welcome.

Some who purport to be "on packet" are about as visible as Lord Lucan.

Best wishes
