I have just been looking at my qth on aprs.fi and it seems that the map is
about three years out of date.
Does anybody know how often the maps get updated?

I can tell by looking at my driveway where there was some bitumen replaced
about three years ago with concrete. On the map it shows the old bitumen
>section still there.

Re above, I agree that Google satellite images are at least 3 years old
from looking at my favorite sites, that I think are blended into APRS.
However street view is only about 12 months old. If folks haven't tried
this, just bring up the usual Goggle search (not Google Earth) and click
on 'maps'. Then type in an address, ie with address number, street,
suburb, city. State etc and a map will come up.
Then click on 'street view' and you will probably see your target. You
can then drag the views around with mouse!
It seems that some 75% of houses in built up areas around VK have been
photographed, with exceptions of some in secluded locations or minor
townships.
	Enjoy!
