Got the link you sent in the other message, thanks.

I don't use the waypoint upload feature on my D700 so it doesn't really matter that it has a problem with multiple waypoints. I just wanted to be sure I could find a unit that would provide a data output so that I could use a GTRANS cable with the Kenwood and use only one GPS for both navigation and a data feed to the radio.

If anyone is looking for a Nuvi350 I have one for sale 100.00 shipped
anywhere in the US.

It will include a Gtrans cable from my wifes car. She broke the connector
off it and it we tried to replace it. Don't know if if the cable is bad or
what is wrong. Someone who wants to play with it could probably fix it.

Looking for an APRS expert . . . Posted by: "Jerry Dwyer" jdwyer(AT)ptsnetwork.com go4moretime Date: Tue Sep 15, 2009 3:23 pm ((PDT)) I joined this group to be able to send a request to the appropriate people. I run a "Technology Net" on our club repeater. Every Friday evening we have a guest speaker do a presentation on a technical subject. Not only do we have listeners directly on the repeater (Kansas City area), but we connect up to Echolink and IRLP to make the presentation available anyway in the Internet world. We have had some crowds as big as over 100 connections, depending on the subject. To get an idea of the kind of things we cover, please go to this URL and take a look at the webpage that has all the presentations listed. If you click on a subject, you will go to a webpage that shows an outline of the presentation. If you click on one of the top three listings you will then be able to click on an embedded player and here an audio recording of the presentation and along with that is a video shortcut that starts the video slides to go along with the audio. http://k0gq.com/technet.htm We have had many requests to get a speaker to do a presentation on APRS. I find quite allot of interest and many Hams seem to know little about it. >From the basics to today's APRS repeaters and how you would use it for yourself and what you would need to purchase to get started. The presentation could be done from anywhere using Echolink to communicate. We have done it from all over the U.S. with perfect results. Normally a presentation goes from 30 to 60 minutes with a question and answer period at the end. I would be creating an outline of the presentation on our website, but a .pdf slide show to go along with it makes the presentation come alive. So, how can I find that expert to help us out, please let me know and thanks. Jerry - NF9L
