What I'd really love to see is a common way of indicating APRS
functionality in all APRS devices.. Curt maintains an excellent
spread sheet of client capabilities:
http://www.eskimo.com/~archer/aprs_capabilities.html

but we need one for devices too, I think. These are the salient
features I am interested in seeing for all devices:

POS FORMAT (APRS, Mic-E, compressed, NMEA, grid)
Message bits (switch seslectable)
Multi-position comments?
Separate Status Texts
Beacon texts
Telemetry (5 channel standard, other)
CW Beacon
CW Text
Serial-to-packet TX
RX-to-serial packet
KISS

I believe there's a list somewhere on the ArgentData or
info.aprs.net sites that tell you. The Nuvi 350 is the best one,
all others suffer from the multiple waypoint problem.
