Hi Bob and all,

The main thrust of my question is so obvious you flew right past it.
Let's start at the beginning, basically you replaced a 10M beam with a
10M beam which is illogical enough but you sacrificed 15M and 20M in the
process... I just don't get it.

Now just in case you come across some rare DX you haven't logged are you
going to kick yourself for removing the tribander when you hear more
multipath echoes on the G5RV than you can make sense out of? In case you
haven't figured it out yet, a G5RV may work on those bands but is no
better than a 40M dipole (pretty lousy) since that's what it is under the
fancy label. IMO you took a big step down but oh well, you got those
bands out of your system 40 years ago..............?
