Hello Terry G4UEQ and anyone else that might have read your
posting, and perhaps thinking of responding....hope so.
My HF mobile antenna is a hustler with 80m resonator, and is mounted
where the recepter is for towing the trailer...In fact I have some
unbolts there to mount it and allow towing. Less then a foot off
the ground. As for the idea of that metal sheet, I have seen it
done for 10meters using a metal plate to mount the 108inch whip and
four radials going out from there.
anyhow ..terry you text made it here, so heres to you getting a
better answer....for me it was necesscity, as the home HF is
still out, and I only wires draped over the trees to listen.
Sending is not the best...haahaha.
Good to see you on Packet. 73 Pete VE3WBZ
