Aerial height.
=============
Over the last 17yrs a frequent visitor to France using the Shuttle, my
aerials have either come off at the first height restrictor or have ended
up mangled, so to avoid further hair loss:) i decided to do some maths or
physics. About 30yrs ago one could buy a *rubberduck sleeve type aerial*
and this fitted onto the existing magmount just fine and complements 11
and 2mtrs precisely ie 11mtrs=1/4wave and 2mtrs whole wave.

Over the last 3 months have been exhaustively testing with vswr meter
reading 1.5.1 at 50w. Its idea for APRS/UIV32 and is only 13in long:) so
no more *Oh dear* at the Reserve lane height restrictor or on shuttle and
they do fit very well on the magmount. They are ideal with the blue boxes
and black boxes of various names and if you run at 25w you cannot fail to
digi through the bird. Detail? Please write a P to me.

Very best wishes/Tres meilleurs sentiments/Bo-Jong! - Reb, G6XCJ @ GB7IMK
