Christian, HB3MAM bought a new hf antenna.
It's a vertical covering all bands with a low SWR
on all bands.
The exact type is: Falcon OUT-250-B.
The length of the antenna measures 7.13 m, and was
installed in an elevated, free location on top of a
3m high mast.
We measured the SWR: low on all bands as specified.
Then we compared this antenna with the Roomcap
antenna (1.5m long radiator on the roof of the car).
Both antennas connected to the same transceiver
IC-706 through a coax antenna selector:
Results: on 40m SSB in the afternoon at 15h:
Karl, 9A/DJ5KL in Croatia (at abt 700 Km distance)
gave the following reports, after switching many
times between the two antennas:
59 for Roomcap
55 for Falcom (minus 4 S points).

Then we tested on 20m:
The QSO partners reported 2 S points less for
the Falcon.

Comparable antennas to the Falcon OUT-250-B are:
- Comet: CHA250B
- Diamond: BB7V
