Hi All,

I'm looking for a FM/SSB radio, for AMSAT Field Day for my club, GSBARC. I
know we have a limited budget and therefore probably can only afford used
equipment.

I would appreciate any suggestions of any radios that you might recommend,
thank you.

It won't stay on more than a minute or two at most due to the malfunctioning
watchdog timer and cooler temperatures now that it has eclipses each orbit.

The Houston AMSAT Net is now being carried live every week on Echolink
in the conference *AMSAT* on Tuesday 8PM Central Time (Wednesday 0100z
summers and 0200z winters). If I get word that there is an ARISS contact
and the *AMSAT* conference is being used, it will preempt the net. After
June 1, 2009, Echolink will be the only method of receiving the live
feed. We will no longer feed the live internet feed that we had been
doing on SkyScanner Satellite Radio Network. Our podcast and mp3 files
will be available as usual after the net is complete.

Hey Everybody--

Successful Minotaur 1 launch earlier tonight. Pharmasat's already been
heard from at 437.465MHz.

HISS thinks they heard HawkSat, but unknown beacon period at 437.345MHz.
Not sure on what format the beacon is is (CW/AX.25).

CP6 won't turn on for another 2.5 hours, so we won't know until then.

Not sure about AeroCube-3.

that more than one of these 1500 people
interested in the issue of satellites

2 that some of these 1500 people will be interested to know what happens with
the AO-51

I think that obviously more than one does not include interest to you, but
most of the 1500 YES.
