Hiya All,

If,like me,you are into UIV32 and you are located in *the sticks* may i
recommend a path ive trialled many times with great success both fixed and
mobile?

On all my TT3+ units my path is the same as my fixed station ie:
cq via 4xtech,sgate,wide: Uplink:145.850Mhz Kiss 9600baud

It has never failed me, and, with a signal every second at about 5w to the
sat not a problem. Excellent for Lat/Lon/QRA location reporting. This sat
or ARISS is very adept at digipeating and in SOS situations i can get a
response in minutes from anywhere in the world, surprisingly, my last SOS
was answered by a doctor in Trinidad! From his screen he could see i was
at my petit maison in France and arrangements were soon in hand. IT IS
REAL-TIME comms.

In my beacon i always give my SOS mobile phone and this has the effect of
allowing a doctor to determine the priority of need just by chatting with
me or my wife direct. The location of the call is on screen. May i
recommend it to all.

We travel about 15,000 miles each year, which is down about 5,000 on us
usual annual mileage, well, up here its 112p per litre. Njoy.

Best wishes/Meilleurs sentiments/Bo-jong
