I just got my CD for SATPC32 and I need help! I plugged in the values
for CAT and Rotor control but I can't seem to get it working. Rig is
ICOM IC-821H and rotor interface is W4SME/EasyComm1 interface. Any brave
soul out there care to provide guidance? It's probably something I have
overlooked since the setup works well with NOVA, at least as far as
Rotor control is concerned.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,
CAT control:
The program installs with the Icom device address $60 (default address of
IC-910H). Did you change that? The item can be selected with the upper one
of the 2 combo boxes in the upper left section of the menu. Click on the
control right of the word "Model" to select the items "Baudrate" and
"Addresses".

The IC-821H requires the following settings in menu "Radio Setup":
Brand: Icom
Model: IC-821H,
Baudrate equal with the radio and the program, choose 19200,
Icom device address: $4C (default address of the IC-821H),
proper COM port number,
CAT delay: 70
Save the changes and restart the program.

Rotor control:
>From the list in menu "Rotor Setup" select the item "SAEBRTrackBox". Click
on "Store" in the upper section of the menu and restart SatPC32.
ServerEasyComm should be started automatically and show up in the task line.
Click on it to show it nomally and click on "Help" for detailed
instructions. The "Help" text can also be opened from the SatPC32 menu "?",
"Hints[Rotor]", "SAEBRTrackBox".

Further delays for SumbandilaSat launch

Launch date is now only late July 2009

In early January the Department of Science and Technology of the Stellenbosch
University signed the SumbandilaSat launch contract with Roscosmos setting
the launch date at 25 March 2009. This date was later postponed till May but
the latest is a further postponement till late July. No reasons have been
given. However rumours have it that one of the main payloads of the rocket
launch is delayed.

This is my first posting to the bb so please be gentle with me for asking a
newbie question :0)

I have two Tonna crossed yagis, a F9FT 144MHz 2x9 element and a F9FT 435 MHz
2x19 element. I am attempting to make circular polarised phasing harnesses for
both yagis but have become confused by the information available on the
internet and that given the Tonna instruction manuals.

The Tonna manual states that for the 144MHz antenna the "length difference",
for the harness, is 10" 13/16 and for the 435MHz antenna it is 116" 7/16 for
the horizontal and 115" 3/4 for the vertical. Can someone shed some light on
this?

Don

Hi,

Has anyone got a VHF polarphaser that they no longer need?

Please reply off-line.
