Hi Folks,
Last night I stopped by the local Circuit City and picked up a
brand new Olympus VN-5000 for $26.25 (with tax). Seemed to be pretty
decent since the ones I found online were going for $39 or so.
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1388
The nice thing about this one is the 3.5 mm mini-jack microphone
input, voice activation, 3 different recording speeds/quality and 2
AAA batteries included.
The store had a sign saying only 10 more days (so 9 days left
today), but this may only apply to this local store.
Just a heads up for any of you looking for a voice recorder for
satellite work.

-Rob, KI4BKE

(from the difference in line length you see my CW isnt the greatest in this
world :-))

So CW beacon is working, the FM digipeater I did not check during this (low)
pass.

I have just purchased an icom ic-w32a and I plan to use it to work the
satellites with a arrow antenna. I was wondering if anyone else sues this
radio to work the birds how they have the channels setup in the radio?

Today, I downloaded the latest Keps into HRD after being offline for 2
weeks. Suddenly, I noticed NOAA-19 listed as having a pass today. It shows
an FM repeater capability. Wow. I need to keep up, I did not catch this
new FM bird. Or am I out of synch and this is not correct?
