Rated output power (5W 2m, 4.5W 440, 1.0W 1.2) are at 9VDC input. But
the included battery pack is 7.2V ...
And so it goes. I'm going to wait for Dayton.

Is any one successfully using a VR-5000 controlled with SatPC32?

Not channel 1; head for channel 11! Channel 1 is inside the satellite
subband.
But, be aware that some devices default to channel 10, for some odd reason
I've never made sense of. In that case, you'll have to go to a low channel.
It's much worse to be off by one channel than to be on the same one. If
you're on the same channel (and configured properly), each device should
cooperate and share the bandwidth. If you're off by one or two channels,
you'll just be QRMing each other.

When I drive my Ercoupe or Cessna around I have no problems using the cell
phone in flight...but when I drive the Boeing or the Fighter...it is a
different thing. Aside from link margins at the flight levels...one just
moves through the cells far to rapidly in the Boeing or the fighter.
In the light planes it is no problem, particularly with the external antenna

Never ever do this. Ever. Or at least, if you do, remember to turn
SSID broadcast back on when you inevitably have connection problems.

Normal wifi routers work Just Fine for most people's needs.

Hello all,
I wonder if anyone is using Pin Diodes for switching IN/OUT pre-amplifiers or
using them in a polarity control box.
I have spoken to Mak SV1BSX (very many thanks Mak) and he has given me some
very helpful advice, but I wonder if anyone has got them working and if so how
and what diodes did they use. Any circuit diagrams?
regards
Gus M0IKB
