Hi!

Omar XE1AO will travel to the town of Tecom?n, in the Mexican state
of Colima (central Mexico) in grid DK88, for an AO-51 pass tomorrow
night. On the UTC clock, it will be the 0117 UTC pass on Saturday
(24 January). Omar will be on for that pass, looking to put DK88 in
as many logs as possible.

Good luck, and 73!

Try either Directive Systems (Dave uses 141 for feeds) or Down East Microwave.

Assuming that I have my TNC, radio and uplink ready for the next AO-51 pass,
what exactly do I need to keyboard into a packet message so that anyone
watching the BBS downlink will know I'm there. I have yet to see anyone
in QSO or an indication there are messages in que. Here's a small part of
the 9k6 downlink data stream from the 0202UTC pass.

Why not use WISP to request a directory, download some WOD files, or upload

Based on this graphic,
http://www.jaxa.jp/countdown/f15/overview/sequence_e.html , and some
comparisons with satellites in similar orbits, I'm going to guess about
12:00 Midnight EST for AOS in Florida.

Congratulations to JAXA and all the satellite teams.

I heard KKS-1 or possibly Kagayaki briefly on an omni antenna at ~511Z here
near Tampa, Florida. I'll go back to the recording and see is I can
determine which one it is...10khz is sort of close together.

Going back over the recording, I heard STARS on ~437.305 at about 0510Z. CW
rate is faster than the other signal I heard, and not enough to get more
than a few numbers out of. I couldn't find an email address to send a report
to that team. Anyone have one?

I heard KKS-1 or possibly Kagayaki briefly on an omni antenna at ~511Z here
near Tampa, Florida. I'll go back to the recording and see is I can
determine which one it is...10khz is sort of close together.

Going back over the recording, I heard STARS on ~437.305 at about 0510Z. CW
rate is faster than the other signal I heard, and not enough to get more
than a few numbers out of. I couldn't find an email address to send a report

to that team. Anyone have one?

Hi all,

the first TLE from space-track.org are available but I think these are not
the amateur radio satellites
(maybe the upper stage and GOSAT)

Hi all,

Heard KKS-1 CW beacon at 437.387 MHz +-doppler during the pass from
05:36-05:47 UTC, RST was 545 with periodical fading. Also monitored
437.250 for PRISM but nothing heard.

I was using TLE for PRISM:

1 00001U 09000A 09023.19677083 .00000000 00000-0 00000-0 0 08

I have the recoded file in .wav format (about 5 MB), if anyone is
interesting please email me.

Hi all,
Just here around 1030 UTC I think I heard:

KKS-1, 437.385 MHz, CW. Slow CW, signal strong

STARS, 437,275 MHz, CW fast, Still heard after the prediction
from the PRISM keps.

PRISM, 437.250 MHz, Slow CW, not as strong as the other two.

All manual tuning - but used PRISM and Objects A,B,C to point
the antenna in the (right) direction.

Now of to work :-)
