Hello all,
I'm in contact with Scott, K0ATC. He tries to control his Icom IC-7000 with
SatPC32, but has problems to get it working. I don't have that radio. Is there
anyone on the board who steers an IC-7000 with the program or has already done
that?
Many thanks.

Interesting....mine was plug and play.....
I have two radios and both are tuned through the SatPC32, one for transmit,
one for receive (now if I had time and weather to finish my coax)

Here is a 31-photo look at one full cycle for one space shuttle,
starting with the landing of Endeavour from its previous mission
(STS-123) on March 26th, and ending with its return to Florida 9
months (and 6.6 million miles) later, after mission STS-126.

I just wanted to post here that we are coming up to ONE YEAR since our
beloved ANDE-1 (NO-61) rejoined us here on Earth.

Time sure does fly!

Hi!

Omar XE1AO will be operating on the FM satellites from grid DK99wt
between today and Friday (26 December). This location is near Oro
de Hidalgo in the state of Mexico, the Mexican state that virtually
encompasses Mexico City. Omar has an FT-60R HT and a handheld Yagi
with him as his satellite station.

Omar was on the AO-51 pass tonight around 0100 UTC. He was hoping
to make more contacts, but unfortunately he was not able to answer
most of the stations trying to call him with some stations talking
over others.

Keep in mind that English is not Omar's primary language. Please
remember to call him using the standard international phonetic
alphabet and digits ("four-three" for 43, not "forty-three") when
trying to work him, and he will be happy to put a new grid in your
satellite log.

73!

Has anyone had a cross-band QSO or heard yourself on ISS? Is ISS actually in
cross-band mode?
I may have heard myself at 1558Z just now, but there was a lot of crud along
with any signal, so it was probably nothing. Certainly no other sigs in my 4
minute window.

The ISS crew turned the radio off to support the EVA that occurred last
night/this morning and is currently scheduled to sleep until 0600 UTC on
Wednesday. I would not expect to hear the crossband repeater any earlier
than that.

I've heard a couple of reports of folks hearing themselves but have no
indication that the crossband repeater is active. It may be that they
are hearing their third harmonic on the UHF side with a wide receiver or
excessive Doppler correction. If you are hearing others, then the
repeater is more likely active.

Nothing heard in three passes checked in FN43. I was wondering if I've got
something wrong, but also understand all these special activities are just
possibilities.

It's that time of the year, folks ... where scores of "best of..."
lists are released.

From columns of cloud streaking over the Caspian Sea in January to
vast tracts of cleared forest in Bolivia in December. In 2008, the
NASA Earth Observatory has captured more stunning images of the Earth.
Here's an article with several exciting NSAS photographs ...
