Got a bit clumsy while editing and sent it off before I finished.

Note the price and the comparison with SpaceX's Falcon 1.

FPV and drone ground-station antenna trackers operate by receiving a
continuous stream of live GPS location data as a part of the aircraft
telemetry downlink. from this, AZ/EL data is computed and the antennas
pointed. For satellite tracking, AZ/EL data would have to be
computed/predicted as we normally do.

Most of the tracking HARDWARE I've seen are small, use R/C servos and
carry usually patch antennas or small axial mode helix antennas. Don't
know how these would handle larger antennas like even small yagis.

R/C servos with high-torque output are available, but given that these
top-end servos can exceed US$200 per axis, it isn't clear that a design
based on these would offer much advantage to (say) a G5500.

Good strong CW telemetry signals received from Ukube-1 during 21.00utc UK
pass.

Using Funcube Dongle and vertical.

Made recording using SDR#. Hopefully will play back OK.

Dear AMSAT members,

Hello. the ARTSAT Project is going to launch a deep-space
sculpture/spacecraft DESPACH this December.
This is the first edition of the public announcement of call for receivers
of cooperative reception from deep-space.

AMSAT-UK has congratulated the UKube-1 team on the successful launch and
deployment of the spacecraft earlier today.

Signals have already been heard from both transmitters in many countries and
the UKube team has asked that all stations continue to monitor the downlinks
and where possible to forward their reports as follows:

CW beacons on 145.840MHz to operations@xxxxxxx.xxx.xx and
steve.greenland@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx

FUNcube telemetry on 145.915 MHz - your existing dashboard will not display
properly(except for the Fitter Messages!) but it WILL be forwarding it to
the Warehouse correctly and the data will be very useful for the team.

The first stations to receive the FUNcube telemetry during the initial orbit
were:

 DK3WN

 OO1A

 F-60429

 G0PGL

 G4GUO

 PB1DTF

 M0LTC

Further information on the UKube-1 spacecraft can be found here

So, in fact it IS possible to find deep space launch opportunities for
satellites 100+ times larger and 20+ times heavier than a cubesat.
Perhaps we should be focusing our efforts on satellites that are shaped
like Picasso's nose, and can sing a song!

but NOT J

These four are still pretty close together...all tlm is still very welcome

Is the linear transponder the same as FUN CUBE 1?

I also read that there is a new Dashboard for Fun Cube 2, but I did not see
what the new data is.

Any way great on the new working bird.
