All,

Using detailed doppler measurements I find that DUCHIFAT is definitely
object 40021, 2014-033M.

Operators of DTUSat 2 confirm that their satellite is object 40030,
2014-033W.

So now it is up to Planet Labs to determine which of the objects 40022
and 40023 is FLOCK 1C-10 and which is PACE. The separation between these
satellites is still less than 2 s, i.e. less than 15 km.

From doppler measurements I can confirm that VELOX 1 is object 40057,
2014-034E.

73,
Nico PA0DLO

The AMSAT-UK International Space Colloquium takes place July 25-27, 2014 at
the Holiday Inn, Guildford, GU2 7XZ,
United Kingdom.

If you wish to books rooms for the Friday or Saturday nights it is
recommended you do so ASAP since room availability is now limited.

The presentations will cover a number of amateur satellites which carry
transponders including LituanicaSAT-1 (LO-78), KLETSkous, Fox-1 and FUNcubes
1 (AO-73), 2, 3 (EO-79) and 4.

The return of the NASA spacecraft ISEE-3 (ICE) has caught the attention of
the media recently with the attempts by volunteers to receive and command
the spacecraft. There will be ISEE-3 presentations by two members of the
AMSAT-DL Bochum team.

did successfully get HamLib, FlDigi and CQrLog all to run and talk to my
FT847 using CAT. My attempts to get GPredict to work well though have
failed even after compiling and installing the most recent version that
addresses the earlier FT847 bugs. It now works, talking to the CAT port on
my radio however the software locks up while trying to track a satellite
pass. I'm thinking as some feared this old Pentium III may just not have
enough horse power!

I then tried Wine, thinking I might run it from within Ubuntu to then run
theSatPC32.exe. I guess I don't know the correct language to fine the path
and call up this exe from my Windows partition. Anyone have any suggestions
in this regard?

Thanks to all, I've learned a lot but may have to face the music and find a
more modern computer.

Hi Rick,

I expect your P-III CPU is doing just fine. I had a similar problem
with gpredict seemingly locking up during a pass when driving my rotor.
The problem was apparently a lack of a response from my controller to a
polling operation (which, being a home-brew device, I never bothered to
implement). Changing the timeout to 1 effectively disabled that
feature, with no apparent ill effects.

You might be having the same problem, but with the rig control program.
Try adding -C timeout=1 to the rigctl command line, and see if that works.

Good luck,

Greg KO6TH

Just installed on Slackware 14.1 and found the executable at

     ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/SatPC32/SatPC32.exe

YMMV.

Hi!

First of all, thanks to everyone who has already sent me audio from
ISS passes during Field Day last weekend. I am still looking to
compile more audio, especially from stations in the center of the US.
I have some audio from stations on both coasts, but would like to
plug in the gap in the middle of the country, to be able to make a
recording covering the complete transit of the ISS across North
America. I'm also missing much of the second ISS pass Saturday
afternoon, after the station moved away from the west coast.

K6LCS - you posted an audio clip where you recreated your NA1SS
QSO. Did you record the NA1SS audio? If not, where did you get
your audio? Your posts and web site don't indicate where you got
the NA1SS audio from. That source could be helpful in my efforts.

Thanks again, and 73!

Hi All,

It appears that our Data Warehouse has decided to take a holiday and is not
presently updating the web pages correctly.

I believe that it is continuing to accept telemetry in from listening
stations so please keep the data flowing.

The spacecraft itself seems fine!

thanks
