Hello, de ji1izr/Masahiro,

ARTSAT1:INVADER, one of the CubeSats,
is in trouble that the satellite does not reply after the command by the comm
nad station.

The members are trying to find out how to recover.

We have no reply from the satellite, nor the CW becomes not to be heard after
the command.

When you have a chance to listen to the satellite,
please send your report from below:
http://api.artsat.jp/report/

Your report will be great help for the members.

We appreciate your help very much.
Thank you.

I've been asked to attempt some communications with a 9.6k satellite which
requires KISS mode. My problem is that when I set the KPC-9612+ to port 2,
the 9600 baud port, then using HyperTerm to issue the INTFACE KISS followed
by RESET, the TNC returns to port 1.

There must be some way to either keep it set to port 2 after KISS is
entered, or enter some magic keystrokes to set it to port 2 while in KISS.

Anyone have the answer? The manual wasn't any help.

Tnx,
Ken, W7KKE

Hi Gang

I'll be selling a Trakbox soon; would be grateful for advice on what price
to ask (in UK money). Original price AFAIRC 100-150 UK pounds.

For those who don't know this item, its an az/el rotator controller. Feed it
keplers on the RS232 input occasionally and it'll track both rotators at the
right time.

The LituanicaSAT-1 FM transponder should be on over North America
later this evening.

Hello,

I confirm the transponder was turned on during 2300z pass over our
ground station. It will remain on for today provided there will be no
malfunction in the satellite. CW beacon and packet telemetry where
switched off to save power.

Good evening,

Only KQ2RP in New Jersey was heard and worked on the 0144Z pass, but
the satellite sounded great with strong signals again.

What an extraordinary session tonight at this club - WARA in Fullerton, CA.
I was last there five
years ago ... they continue to grow ... and teach ... a new ham graduate
from one of their test
sessions was there ... "we" guided him to what to purchase this week at
HRO-Anaheim ...

After performing my satellite presentation about 80 times, I thought I had
"heard 'bout all" the
possible questions that may arise. But this wise group hit me with a couple
inquiries that I had never been
asked before. (Proving to me that they WERE listening ... (grin).)

And what better way to finish a satellite presentation than to walk outside
on a beautiful evening
and watch the International Space Station streak across the sky above us. It
was the very first time for EVERYONE
in attendance to actually SEE the ISS pass overhead ...

SO - THANK YOU, Western Amateur Radio Association, for your hospitality this
evening. And if anyone reading is
in or near Orange County, CA, then please cruise the WARA Web site cited
below and give them a visit.
