Hi Folks,

Just to confirm that FUNcube/AO-73 is now in continuous transponder/low
power beacon mode, as at 20:32 UTC. Planned that we will change back to
'normal' mode on Sunday evening UTC. Enjoy the transponder!

Hello-I recently ordered a position potentiometer for my elevation rotor.?
Yaesu sent me a pot that does not have that wire coming out the back.? That
pot enabled it to rotate more than 360* if necessary.? The one they sent
will rotate just a bit over 270* with fixed internal stops.? That could be a
issue (maybe).? The part number they sent is S8101823.? If it hits the stops
and tries to keep turning something would give.? Thoughts please.

Bob,

That won't be a problem for the elevation rotor. The maximum movement of
the el rotor is 180 degrees, but normally only 90
degrees.

It would be a problem if it was for the azimuth rotor.

Glenn

I suspect at some point they changed the gearing so a pot with 270 degrees
of rotation would work. They have recognized the wire as a point of failure.

I am curious if you tried repairing the old pot as I suggested as I have
never seen that not work.
